I spent nearly 3 hours on the phone with Walgreens and BCBS of Illinois to confirm that I have insurance. Most of that time was spent on hold with Walgreens. Despite BCBS confirming my coverage and me having a valid card Walgreens couldn’t make it work in their system. I had Covid so I spent another 45 minutes in store (double masked) in an attempt to get my prescription filled.I finally just agreed with them that I didn’t have coverage because the government will cover the Covid meds if you’re uninsured. After wasting an entire afternoon while I felt less than stellar, I find out the costs were $6.09 which I would have gladly paid. Walgreens has a lot to learn about what constitutes good customer service.

This is in regards to the pharmacy, not the retail part of Walgreens. There was a quality control issue with a medication that is imperative I take every day. A claim was filed with the pharmaceutical company and they advised me not to ingest because the chemical structure may have been compromised. They agreed to reimburse if Walgreens would cooperate. The pharmacist laughed at me when I told her about my scenario. So I called the pharmaceutical company again and they said to me we're willing to work with Walgreens but they have to meet us halfway. We can't force them to replace the medication for you. Fair enough, so I call Walgreens one more time. They put me on hold for 30 minutes. Kept ringing and then they would slam the phone on hold. I was told no again. that's not the problem. It's how I was told no. She was unprofessional and rude and it wasn't very subtle. I found out that my nurse at the doctor's office tried calling them as well and she was appalled to have received the same treatment by them, after being put on hold for 30 minutes of course. When I finally speak with my doctor about this he had quite the opinion of Walgreens pharmacy. Apparently they have built a reputation of being quite lackluster pertaining to customer service. Everyone has a bad day. But apparently they had a bad day when the nurse called on my behalf as well. They should have at the very least been interested to hear about my scenario because it likely will happen again with somebody else. Matter of fact the lot number of my medication has been discussed recently on Reddit for quality issues. I wouldn't recommend this Pharmacy. The only benefit is the convenience of many locations

So this has happened twice to my sister I am her POA the pharmacist held up her medicine for her dementia and depression because they thought a 90 day supply should be filled because she said that’s what the Doctors usually do. So I said to them what makes you think you should ask for more When the Doctor ordered 30. This is unacceptable in many ways. I am changing locations the staff is not professionals. This is why Walgreens is in trouble. They will be closing some stores.

I recently went to Walgreens pharmacy. The lady on Pharmacy register(Priti) was very welcoming and helpful. She explained all of my concerns about my mom’s medicine really well.

I thought birth control was supposed to be easy to get.I have been using the pharmacy for YEARS! I used to never have a problem but the past year or two things have been TERRIBLE!!On July 9 I refilled my BIRTH CONTROL pills. On July 13 I had a partial fill. 1 pack. I asked when the rest would be ready because I was leaving for vacation. Luckily the 1 pack would get through until my last night. The pharmacy told me the rest of my prescription would be ready by July 22 (while I was on vacation). I asked if they could pause it because I would not be there to pick it up. They could not. They told me to have someone pick it up for me. I asked if they could transfer it to a different Walgreens near by. They cannot do it.Throughout my trip I kept an eye on my prescription to see when it would be ready and send one of my friends over to pick it up.It was NEVER ready. On Aug 6 (Friday), I called the pharmacy asking about my BIRTH CONTROL. The pharmacy still does not have it in stock, they are unsure when they will have it in stock. They still cannot transfer it, they cannot cancel it. My doctor cannot send in another order because insurance has already covered it.I am now out of my BIRTH CONTROL pills. and I am not sure when I will get them back.I will be changing pharmacies.

Extremely unprofessional. The pharmacist refused to give me my medication which I later found out the reason for was absolutely ludicrous. Especially considering she let me pick them up 2 hours later . Just a big waste of time and if she actually knew anything about her job she would have known that refusing my medicine was actually a life dangering situation- which I would have expected a PHARMACIST to know an understand but I received ignorance instead . It’s ok. I’ve been coming to this exact pharmacy for well over 3 years and I have never had this experience, however , I can confirm that because of this situation they have lost my business for a lifetime and I will actually be going to a completely different pharmacy altogether now. CVS perhaps . I need to get the pharmacist name so that I can report this incident to higher management I would hate for her to put other people in a similar dangerous situation.

This Walgreens pharmacy is absolutely incompetent.. went here for about a year. My prescription would be filled every 2 weeks yet they would never have it in stock.. I asked multiple times to order ahead but I'd always go to refill and they'd tell me tomorrow they'll have it. I even would call a few days early hey can you order my script they'd say yeah sure we'll put it through... Still we'll have it tomorrow. They shorted me 6 pills one time and gave me an extra 10 another time as well.. they're terrible at answering the phone. The one thing id say they are good at is time to fill when you are waiting. I'm never going back to another Walgreens again after dealing with this location.

Not sure if she’s new, but there was a lady at the pharmacy drive through around 1:45pm Friday 08, 2022 that was extremely efficient and fast! No wasted time, quick and easy how I image it always should be. No idea why most of the time it’s horribly slow, but this was exactly how it should be: “here for a pickup?” “Name?” “It’s $X, should we use express pay” “any questions on the meds?” Literally probably took 60 seconds compared to the 5+ minutes it usually takes once at window.

Picked up prescriptions today in the drive through. He asked if I wanted to use my card on file. I said no and gave him a different card. Once I got home I saw he did not use the card I gave him and used the one on file. This maybe a small issue, but beware that some of these "new" people do t pay attention

DONT trust this pharmacy. They switched my prescription without asking thinking I wouldn’t notice. Then refused to take it back and replace it with the correct one. Workers are extremely rude

Extremely rude and unprofessional staff. When did it become good customer service to talk about a prior customer to another customer. I don’t need to hear about how she was a “Explicit word”, take it into the back room and talk to your coworkers about it. So unprofessional. Reached out to corporate about it but of course have heard nothing back.

I was just on hold for 10 minutes 36 seconds holding to speak to someone in the pharmacy. A person actually picked up the phone twice and twice put me back on hold. Not even a "please hold" just pushed the hold button again. It is 6:25 pm on Monday, Feb. 15 there is a blizzard going on outside. I can't imagine the pharmacy being that crowed. The person who picked up the phone Bridget was not friendly and quick to tell me they are busy. I guess a customer on the phone isn't as important as the one in the store. Walgreens is loosing my business there are others places that I could get my prescription.
