Eastland Mall has a long history as a once-bustling shopping center that many remember fondly from childhood. It featured many stores and attractions like a kiddie train, making it a lively and enjoyable place to visit. Over the years, however, the mall has experienced decline, largely due to management raising rent prices, which forced many stores to leave. This has contributed to the mall becoming increasingly barren and less lively, with some visitors describing it as dead or abandoned looking from the outside. Despite the overall decline, some stores that remain do decent business and offer good prices. The mall has seen some recent improvements, including new flooring, a cleaner environment, and a handful of new stores, making it somewhat better than it was a couple of years ago. Security has had mixed reviews—sometimes good, sometimes lacking—though staff are generally seen as good people. The mall's structure is in need of overhaul, but it still serves as a place where visitors can find stores worth shopping at, especially if they support local businesses there. Overall, Eastland Mall reflects the challenges faced by many traditional malls in the modern retail landscape, but it continues to hold some value for the community.
The mall itself is in nice shape. It's sad to see all the closed business from a once thriving location. Still a decent amount of retail shops for clothing and makeup.

I remember when I used to be so many stores opened in this mall. Probably not that many days until it closes at this point. Couldn't have been more than 10 stores, but I didn't count. So weird walking through and seeing how deserted it was.

Sad, mostly empty mall. Kohl's is the only anchor.
