If there was an award for worst mall in America Eastland would win. The few businesses remaining are trying their best. The pretzel stand is great. Whoever manages this mall should be ashamed. They cannot be putting effort into getting businesses in. The empty stores are falling apart. It’s honestly sad. This mall has so much potential.

I remember when I used to be so many stores opened in this mall. Probably not that many days until it closes at this point. Couldn't have been more than 10 stores, but I didn't count. So weird walking through and seeing how deserted it was.

I remember when I was a kid we came here all the time, i loved this place. It used to have so many different stores, and I remember riding the kiddie train that went through the mall. I was still pretty young when the Sears first closed, and I had no idea why. Looking back, that was probably the beginning of the mall slowly dying. We moved away in 2016/17, I was about 8-9 years old. Of course, everybody was flocking to big cities and whatnot so we did too. I checked on my town in here today, and this mall depressed me. It was once a beautiful place to be, but now it’s barren and dead. I wish I could go back in time and experience everything again, but it seems the world has moved on.

Some people have seen what has gone on over the years at the mall. The management has raised rent prices so many times that many stores have been forced to leave and the mall is slowly but surely dying. The structure itself needs some overhaul but as far as the stores that are there and stick out the rent issues they do pretty nice business and have decent prices. The security for the mall goes through phases where they are good at what they do and sometimes they get some bad apples who are horrible human beings. Don't judge the collective based on the actions of a few bad ones. At least Eastland Mall hasn't gone the route of College Hills Mall .... Yet. If there is even one or two stores there that you like them do them the favor of taking your business there. If you have an "issue" then go to information desk and fill out a complaint form. Help the mall survive so we can have something instead of nothing.

It's sad...there's nothing in there. You know, a smart business person would make a change to attract stores. But not here. It's so sad. Every mall in any town around us is doing fantastically.

The security will racially profile you and call the police on you for no reason. It has happened to many of my friends and family and it happened to me when I was just trying to shop. Don’t go here if you are a minority.
