I got Lasik from Gailey Eye Clinic in 2020. It went well. However, now I am working on getting into the military again and need my records from them in order to get back in. It is a time sensitive matter, and they refuse to email my records to the recruiter or myself. They will only allow traditional mail or pick-up (I now live in Florida). Even though there are no laws preventing email. Gailey Eye Clinic is more than decade behind the times with this. Given that you never know when you may need to get a copy of your records, I would recommend not using Gailey since if you need them in a timely manner, you'll be screwed.
EDIT: I would like to add that every doctor I've worked with has been wonderful and knows what they're doing. However, the trouble they cause by not bothering to educate themselves on HIPAA's allowance of records being emails has completely ruined the company for me, and is more deserving of a 1 star. It shows a lack of education and refusal to accommodate patients with more convenient, more secured, and more modern technology.

I enjoy the people but the wait time is awful. I was there almost 1.5 hours for the whole eye test and to see the doctor. I didn't even get new glasses. Wonder how that would have taken?

I highly recommend Gailey’s to anyone who needs eye care. I had lasik surgery on both eyes 10 years ago and it was life changing. Very professional and courteous people. If you’re looking for the best people in the business this is the place in Central Illinois.

Went in for an eye exam today. Never saw the doctor. The person who took me back to the room did the exam and another person came in with my prescription and said it didn't change. Hardly where was the doctor and why didn't he come in and see me for anything. Will not be going back there. Made an appointment in May. Went to the appointment and was told I don't have an appointment also so I had to reschedule will not be going back and will not be recommending to anyone

I cannot give high enough praise to my LASIK team at Gailey. From my first appointment, all the way through was seriously the most seamless process. Lexi answered every single one of my questions, she always followed up and reassured me every step of the way. She is seriously a godsend! Thank you Lexi, for everything! I’d recommend Dr Harman to anyone thinking about getting this procedure done. He is wildly knowledgeable and thorough with setting expectations. Thank you, Dr Harman for the better than perfect vision! You guys are awesome! -from your favorite patient of all time. :)

I have been a patient at Gailey for glasses and contacts for over 10 years since college and always had positive experiences with my annual check ups and prescription updates. This year I took the leap to get LASIK and I’m soooo happy I did. Yes the Dr and nurses during the procedure were great and I had a good experience but honestly the real MVP is the LASIK Coordinator Lexi. She was my contact from day 1 when I asked for more info and price. She explained everything and answered all my questions to start, then when it was the week before and day before and I had a “pre opp” appointment she was super patient and thorough and had several one pages for me outlining all the steps, medication, eye drop schedule, what to expect, what to look out for, etc. She even answered all my very concerned mother’s questions about recovery. The day of surgery was a breeze and I felt so at ease and safe with her by my side. She truly is the kindest and smartest person I’ve met when having a procedure or surgery in my almost 40 years. Ask for her by name and you won’t be disappointed!!!

If you are looking for a new pair of glasses, make sure you ask for Tammara! She was so sweet and knowledgeable about the different lenses, warranties, insurance claims, all of that! She even recommended a variety of frames that may fit my face best. Overall was a fun experience and will gladly return again!
