I’ve been a long-time Byrider customer and this experience has been awful.
After my first Byrider car was totaled, I came back because I’d always stayed paid up — often ahead of schedule. I worked with finance (Shawn) and my case contact (Anita). When I fell behind after not getting paid for weeks, I was still paid up through September 15 even though I haven’t had income since July. I called Anita — she stayed on the phone with me for 10 minutes, listened to everything going on, and told me “everything is going to be all right” and they’d work with me.
The day before yesterday Shawn emailed me about my account, and I replied to Anita since she’s been my main contact. But today, when I called, finance answered, clearly knew my situation — even mentioned my workers’ comp — but still transferred me to Anita instead of just being honest. Anita then told me there’s nothing they can do: my car is going up for repo and they’ll “garnish wages.” I don’t have wages now and didn’t when I bought this car — something Byrider knew from the start. It feels like they’re trying to cover up their mistake in selling me the car in the first place with the income I had.
I’ve only fallen behind once before and they worked with me — I caught up and even paid ahead. So I trusted them when Anita reassured me this time. But now it’s just empty promises and threats. This is awful treatment of a loyal customer who’s always paid reliably until a genuine hardship hit.

Don’t buy a car from this place they are horrible individuals and there cars suck. Anita in finance needs to be fired she thinks she owns the place and has horrible customer service. 10/10 not recommended I’m traded my own car in as quickly as Possible

One thing I wish I knew was not being able to trade my car in with jd byrider, they told me they don’t do that and I’d have to trade it in somewhere else. Well because of bad equity and the vehicle being 13 years old for 14,000 I’m just gonna return it I don’t care anymore. I would never recommend them to anyone

This is going to be a long one. Let me start off by saying that this is my own fault. I read all the horrible reviews and still got a vehicle from them. My wife and I went to get a vehicle from them in February. We found one with 80k miles looked to be in good shape, no rust and interior was perfect. Immediately when you put it in drive it would vibrate. They were so unbelievably pro active on fixing the issue to make the sale. Sent us to some dude who swore to us there was NOTHING wrong with the vehicle and we are good to go. We go in the car and it was even worse than it was when we dropped it off. 2 days later the the Transmission cooler lines blew and left us stranded in the middle of the road, I replaced those out of pocket. Then the brakes started locking up, death wobble on the steering wheel and loud clunking. Purchased 2 brand new Calipers and pads. Didn’t fix the issue. Get under the car and realize the subframe is wasted with rust and the Transfer case is leaking, so know I know why it’s doing the things it’s doing. Today I go out to start it and nothing. No electricity what so ever. Charged the battery, still nothing. Put a new battery, still nothing. We have had this car since February and it has been sitting in my driveway for 3 of those months. I have brought all of this to their attention. Sent them multiple emails with pictures, receipts, etc. never heard anything back. Today, they called to tell us an insurance payment was later. The call was from the same dude who swore he’d call me back over a month ago about the repairs. Unfortunately we are screwed so the wife and I made the decision to just have them come get it tomorrow and take the hit on her credit. $16k for a car that was never able to be driven. Their “Mechanic” was worthless and so has been every attempt at getting help. We asked if they could just put all of this months payments on the back of the loan, because I’ve already spent over $600 in repairs. They gave us the run around and we still had to pay the payments. People, please do yourselves a favor and stay extremely far from this place. If I could sue them, I would. Unfortunately they are protected by putting a 15 day dealer warranty on their trashmobiles.

Got a great van! Payments are a little high, but Anita in finance is awesome. She has been willing to work with me so I don't get behind.

I am writing this review as a warning to other consumers. Do not do business with this company they will lie and deceive you in any way they can especially Shawn and the mechanics at R&R tire and auto.I have had my Dodge Durango for 4 months now it has been in and out of the shop 5 times now and still not fixed. Now I have to pay out of pocket for shocks struts axle brakes new tires and now maybe a new transmission ,all with promise to be taken care of this was brought to the attention of Shawn's and he said not to worry it would be taking care of and Byrider will pay for it it's lies all lies a will never do business with these crooks again.
