Moved to Bloomington Illinois in August 2023 and have been to this location three times. Two out of three visits were some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Eye rolling, arms across chest and heavy sighs when trying to get vinyl flooring installed. Did not use them after multiple mistakes on measurements and product quotes and of course, their condescending attitude. Second visit was fine, just had a duplicate key made, woman helping was friendly and knowledgeable. Went in for another duplicate key and the only person we could find literally walked us to their new kiosk, and tried to explain how to work the machine and make the key myself, instead of him having to make the key in the key grinder in aisle 14. I asked what if the key got stuck in the kiosk or what if the key didn't work? He said he didn't plan on it getting stuck and if it didn't work, I could return it. He then walked down the aisle, chatted with a coworker while he watched me get the key made instead of actually working at the store he's being paid to work at, and laughed. Never again.

This is a review of the delivery service. Where to begin...buyer beware I guess. Purchasing our fridge in store went fine. The delivery is where they need major improvement! For starters. Delivery was scheduled for a monday...now this is fun...between 8am to 8pm. Didn't know they worked with cable companies..lol. They would not turn off water supply since it was in basement- also wouldn't disconnect or connect to to copper pipes. Needed a plumber to do this, but trying to coordinate a plumber and deliver was hard. Delivery drivers came with no warning and the plumber was not there or notified because we did not know when they were coming. Plumber was an hour away and we ended up rescheduling. The delivery driver did not speak English well and was insistent to delivery...put new fridge in our gsrage...I told him we could not get the new fridge in our house and they needed to take old one away...we payed $50 for haul away. He did not understand and to make a long story short after explaining 4 times I needed to call the plumber and reschedule the delivery... he finally said " I can go now?" I nodded my head and he sat in front of our residence for 15 minutes. I called to reschedule and I was already in the system luckily the day the plumber could come. Day of delivery..I did not get a phone call they just showed up. There was a note to call my number...but theydidnt.they couldn't get my old fridge out...they needed to take the doors off...but instead almost broke our door. The new fridge was taken out of the box in our driveway and all of a sudden I was called outside, and they pointed out that they broke the kickboard. Then proceeded to ask me if I was OK with it. They said I could get a discount. Commutation was all through their phones because they didn't speak English. We had difficulty getting points across but I tried to make it clear I was not ok with thst because it is a new fridge. They told me I can get a new fridge but I should accept the onevthey are delivering because they may not have anymore fridges. He took a photo and was texting someone, and he showed me thevtext which said I wanted a refund. I told him in his phone "no, I want this fixed". He told me to call lowes...didn't apologize, didn't take any tape off of it...plugged it in shrugged his shoulders like..it works and walked out. Lowes told me to call GE warranty and get a replacement part since it bis under manufacturer warranty. Just a horrible experience. The local appliance store has the fridge $500 more...I think that might be a way to go to get professional delivery . My house was left a dirty mess...if you buy an appliance from a big box store...understand the delivery is going to be a horrible experience cabt say enough about this negative experience. Shame on Lowes!!! Their delivery people do not know what they are doing. I can say with much confidence that their delivery staff is given no training. If a fridge does not fit the door way, it makes sense to take the doors offf...this is how our old fridge was delivered. I guess this is a way for Lowes to cut corners and save a buck. People need proper training...not just the conditioned the fridges and appliances and how they lift heavy appliances...one driver was already limping...proper training would show the proper way to lift to avoid injuries.

Well stocked and staffed. The crew is helpful and try hard. I'm in the store often and rarely have issues. The appliances warranty program leaves a bit to be desired but not enough to take the store down to 4 stars.

My landlord bought a washer/dryer stackable from them 3 weeks or more ago and paid to have them pick up the old one. Was hard to get ahold of them and when I did on Tuesday they setup a pickup for Saturday. Saturday came and no one showed up and so I called, waited on hold hearing music for a straight 20 minutes finally hung up and called back all to be told they had the wrong address that was not my address and was not picking it up. Very unprofessional and seem to didn't are at all that it was paid for to be picked up.

Usually a pretty good store, but this location needs to work on its hiring practices! If they need good employees and they setup an interview, the store shouldn’t reschedule it multiple times without a good reason. We usually have pretty good luck shopping here and encouraged someone to apply, but given the lack of interest from Lowe’s on having a timely interview gives me concern about the leadership of the store.

Lianet is awesome. She’s a big help in the pro desk and has had events for the pros like taco bars and iced coffee. She’s always in a good mood and is a pro at her job. Tonya is a great cashier and is always on the ball. She has been a big help for us in checking out in lumber. Thank you ladies!

I don't say this too often about Lowe's but this store is a GOOD one. Clean and organized and plenty of staff always offering to help out. Provided some helpful input into our never-ending home improvement projects with our son's new house. The return department was also very speedy and pleasant to work with.

I purchased an upright freezer on Sat, and it was to be delivered on Monday afternoon. Monday morning a man from the store called & said they discovered it was damaged, so they contacted the distribution center to locate a new one, as they did not have another in stock at the Bloomington, IL store. I specifically asked him to call me back, and he said ok. I still had not heard anything by lunchtime on Tuesday, so I went to the store. The salesman working looked up the order, and told me it had been canceled on Monday and they refunded my purchase. What? He was dumbfounded as well. The computer wasn't allowing him to search other nearby stores, so he sent me to Customer Service. First, it should be renamed "Customer Disservice". The lady working seemed annoyed she even had to talk to me. She looked up my order & said yes, it's been refunded. I asked why, and she just stared at me. I asked for a receipt of the refund, and she said she couldn't do that. I asked her to check other stores for the same freezer, and she said she couldn't do that. I almost asked her what she could do, but figured she'd just stare at me all bug eyed again. Before I walked out the door I told her I could not believe she'd watch an $1100 purchase go somewhere else, rather than lift a finger to try to keep the sale. And it was unbelievable that no one even called to tell me I wasn't getting a freezer at all. I've had other negative experiences at this store, but they have now hit a new all time low.
