This is my 2nd time as a Metronet customer in the Bloomington/Normal area. Metronet has provided me with reliable and fast internet access. Their technicians are professional and get the job done without a lot of fuss. Their billing is very transparent and competitive.

Choose a different provider. Product is ok and tech service has been good but the office is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Disconnected, hung up on and on hold forever waiting for someone to answer. When you get someone they can't articulate an answer and run you around in circles. Like talking to idiots. No call back number. No way to reach anyone you spoke to. Back on hold and start over every time. No supervisor if you need a real answer. I wasted so much time and they never got it straight. It goes on and on. Metronet is painful to have so if there is any other option, take that instead.

Knocked out our internet fixing someone elses and then told us we have to wait 5 days just for a Tech to come. Trash company

We could not be happier with our choice of Metronet. The installation went smoothly, the technicians worked efficiently and helped us test our devices. So much better than our previous provider.

We recently had a technician come to bury our Metronet cable and in doing so he cut my existing coax cable line as well as two of my neighbors Metronet lines. The tech had no idea what he was doing and left the grass in a mess where he buried my cable. He had no contact information for tech support and was not able to get a hold of the supervisor.

I have been waiting for my $200 visa card for 6 months now and every time I call to find out why they always say it has to do with the email department. I'm so disappointed in the customer service. False advertisement. I've been asking about this every time I get a email asking my opinion! WHY HAVEN'T I RECEIVED MY $200 VISA????

We have had Metronet service to our home in Genoa, IL for about three years. We have not had any trouble with the service except for the underground cable being cut by a service person digging in the yard. Metronet service was restored quickly by Metronet technicians within a day or two. The service itself has been dependable since we had it installed.

I'm not sure how to rate my service.
CONS: I am greatly appalled that it took Metronet so long to service us. We called about our internet being down on a Tuesday morning. They didn't get to our house until Thursday. That might not sound too bad, but my husband runs his small business in our home. Our livelihood depends on him having internet. We ended up spending so much money finding work-arounds.
PROS: BUT, the two gentlemen that finally did come out were wonderful. They promptly fixed our line and were very repectful and kind. I wish I had caught their names. It was a blessing that they were so kind, because I was pretty livid about my delayed service.

When we first got Metronet, we were so happy because we got rid of Comcast because Comcast was getting really ridiculous in price and the speed was going downhill fast. Metronet great company. Only the reason why we switched the price is creeping up not astronomical, but also the speed was getting slower and we had all the Wi-Fi extenders, so Trying something different for now and if this doesn’t work out, will be right back to Metronet.

Very disappointed in how it’s connected to our home. 3 times the wire has been knocked down. First time because it was put through tree branches and a branch broke the wire. The second time and the current disconnect was from a passing truck that knocked the wire down. We have now been without internet for 3 days waiting for them to reconnect it. As most people know this meant no home security no tv and luckily we have a backup garage door opener or we would have no access to our garage. Have been given no reimbursement for these failures. I pay my bill monthly on time as I’m expected to but we are not receiving the service.

Factually Correct:
Decent to good Speed. Fast Repairs. Terrible Phone Support.
Was told I would be locked in for $200 gift card on order. Months later told not in customer record and im going out of my way to give you $100 credit and hung up on.
Not even the first time being hung up on. They are very comfortable with hanging up on you.
