Pete was the main reason I became an umpire. He walked me through all the gear I needed and has become a mentor throughout these past 10 years. Quality service and truly cares about each individual customer.

I have got to take a moment to call out Reads Sporting Good store.I went by yesterday hoping they’d have an extra pair of the baseball pants they ordered for Jack’s (my son) team and they didn’t have his size.Most folks probably would have shrugged and said too bad… not Reads. I had the pants with me because I wanted to show him what I was looking for (not that he needed it. He knew exactly what team I was talking about as soon as he saw my Hawks hat). So, he said let me try something… and he patched the hole, asking for nothing in return. He used his resources and his equipment and his time — but didn’t ask for anything.Also, whilst we waited for the thingy he used to patch the pants to heat up, he showed me a really cool game he invented and we played— it requires some level of hand-eye coordination so, of course, I lost.They also had size 12 turf shoes, which I couldn’t find anywhere else.So all in all— just a wonderful experience.

Have been going to Read's for more than 20 years. Great local sports shop. The guys are knowledgeable and carry a great selection of quality sports equipment. Particularly great for baseball/softball. Have been pleasantly surprised with the customer service numerous times.
