I have visited the salvation army a few times for various reasons. I can not speak on the shelter portion, but on the community side they have been very helpful. They have a food pantry that gives you a good amount of food when you need help. They also have various programs throughout the year to meet needs in the community. Their facilities have been clean and staff is friendly.
