“My dog has been going to Bortell's for a year and we love this place! We've had a couple of emergency visits and Dr. Bortell has always been reassuring and has recomended home remedies when possible. Our dog is pretty skittish but she's always excited to go to her vet, because she gets lots of love and good treats!”
“Very compassionate vet’s office. When our older cat got sick, they did all they could snd when it was time to say goodbye, they handled her with care and love. They even sent us a card signed by everyone for the loss of our cat with cards inside with ink stamps of her paws and face. It was a sad but caring experience.”

“What I know is this, I've had dogs my entire adult life. I have moved back to this area after being up north for 30 years and loving the Vet I had up there. Upon arriving here I went to another Vet and it didn't go well. I looked around and chose this establishment because of proximity to my new home and that they had an emergency Vet attached. So far I have been very happy with the service and care they have given our 3 dogs. I would highly recommend them.”

“My cat had not been eating or drinking for several days, and was throwing up bile for quite a while. The doctor and tech were very nice and explained everything they would be doing. They were also upfront and honest about cost, and suggested certain treatments and diagnostic testing they thought I could skip (only if I wanted) to help with the cost.
Since the clinic works like a human ER, critical patients are seen first, so I did end up waiting a little over two hours to see the doc since my lil guy was stable and they were fairly busy (Sunday afternoon). However, I was okay with that since it meant they were taking care animals who were more sick than my cat. So glad we have this clinic in the area, because I did not want to wait until Monday afternoon to take my cat in to his primary vet!”

“Everyone at Hawthorne was wonderful when my dog had a medical emergency. They saw her quickly and were professional and attentive and explained what the problem was and what had to happen to treat her. They stayed late to make sure she was stable and followed up to see that she was still healing and showing improvement the next day. Caring staff in all positions!”
