“We have been going to Highland since we moved here over 30 yrs ago. We have had 3 dogs during that time period. All 3 dogs lived a better life because of Highland. When it was time to send Resse Cup to doggy heaven the entire staff was amazing, from Start to finish(and after) they help us through it. Professional and compassionate are two words that come to mind. Highly recommend them.”

The staff was so kind and caring and let us know when she had fully passed on and tried their best to tell us what happened. Sent us home with a clay paw print too. “Dr. Bortell and his staff are wonderful! I have been going to Dr. Bortell for almost 10 years. He is so kind and has provided me with great guidance for both of my dogs. One of my dogs is experiencing some health issues and he has been so informative and patient with me as I ask my questions and make sure I understand. He is reassuring and it is obvious that he cares so much about the health of my pups. The costs are reasonable and I don’t ever get the sense that he would have me pay for anything that was unnecessary. He’s happy to do whatever will give me peace of mind about their health but does not recommend extra tests and things that would add up financially. Highly recommend Dr. Bortell!”
“I haven't had my dog's appointment yet but from the first call I could tell this will not only be a much better fit financially but also the front desk employees are extremely friendly and actually give you the cost of what services you will be getting ahead of time. I've taken my dog to another vet in town for the past almost 9 years and was treated very poorly after 9 years so this wasn't the easiest choice but after speaking with the front desk employees and the fact they could get my dog in rather quickly instead of 2 months from now was a huge plus. From reading the reviews, I know my fur baby will be in excellent hands and I will not be treated disrespectfully. Thank you to the front desk employees that I spoke with, you made this transition so easy and I have never been treated so very kindly! Bella is looking forward to meeting everyone :) Update: Bella had her appointment today and I learned more in this one visit about my dog and important information than I did in 9 years at Town and Country!! Dr. Tatro is amazing and tells it like it is and doesn't try to do unnecessary procedures or tests. I'm very impressed and wish I had been bringing my fur baby here from the start! Thank you to everyone in the office for the kindness and taking time to explain things to me. I know Bella will be in excellent hands during her remaining years!”

“Needed a checkup for paperwork so my dogs can be in my apartment and they were able to get them in right away. Very helpful and turns out one of them had an ear infection that needed to be treated. A quick process that went very smoothly (as much as it can with 2 puppies)”
