I have been bringing my car to William since he has opened his business. I appreciate his professional and honest approach with his work. If he do not know what's wrong he will tell you,but he will most definitely find out. I would not let anyone else work on my cars unless it's still under warranty. Great integrity.

I wished I would have read the reviews before taking my Jeep Patriot to Williams Automotive. The staff there, Alan was very nice. William, the owner appeared very professional and nice when I first met him. I took my truck in for new brake pads and drums. I called back after not receiving a call that the car was ready. When I arrived to pickup my car, it had been completed and parked on the street unbeknownst to me. When staff pulled around in my truck, it had been hit and damaged on the bumper while parked. I had to go make a police report myself with no concern and/or assistance. After being told the owner would call me, he never did, when I called back and reached him, he basically told me I was on my own for my car to be repaired since it was not on his lot even though I had no knowledge it was parked on the street after leaving it in their care. I ended up paying a deductible and filing a claim through my insurance. William, was extremely annoyed when I pointed out that even if he felt no legal obligation that a moral obligation should cause him to offer some type of assistance in that the car was left in his care and that it unbeknownst to me, was parked on the street. In summary, I ended up paying to repair my car with William Automotive and then paying a $500 deductible with my insurance for their negligence. The quality of work appears to be ok but still causes me to be skeptical after the whole interaction. My husband and I are senior citizens and this whole experience has been quite traumatic and disappointing. Buyer beware when supporting this community based business.

I had a great experience with Williams Automotive. I had some issues with my check engine light and a few other issues. I think Will gave a pretty honest opinion on what could be done and got the things needed to be done fixed. I haven’t taken my emission test yet but I’m pleased with his the work done, his professionalism and how persistent he was with communication. Which is a major plus for me. I’d definitely recommend and would be a returning customer if I have any further issues. I can’t say that about a lot of places I been to so that’s a big deal for meServices: Oil change

Williams Automotive is the best Car doctor in the Chi in my opinion. Whenever I have any problems with my cars they always find and fix the problem. They always keep my rides running smoothly and better than when I dropped them off to them. William and the other mechanics in the shop are very passionate and knowledgeable about cars fixing them. Prices are reasonable as well! I will forever take my whips to Williams Automotive and you should too!Services: Engine repair

I was referred by a Firestone employee that this was the place for electrical issues, but once they looked at my Dad 2007 mercury mountaineer in great shape. I was advised alternator needed ,I was very impressed with the work, the price,, their honesty and professionalism. I was not able to stay...they took care of my Dad that was a senior , made sure he got back home. I will definitely return with all my Mechanical IssuesService: General repairs & maintenance

1999 Chevy Tahoe, was having a issue with my transmission not shifting. Took to numerous of mechanic and no one can tell me exactly what the problem was, only telling me that it’s a old truck and need to replace the transmission. I took here to “Willam Automotive” left it there and the few days I would get a calls from the Will. Giving me feed back on my truck and letting me know what they have done and what’s there next step of diagnosis my truck. And just to find out it wasn’t the transmission was messed up, it was just a sensor that’s on the transmission that control the transmission was bad. It was replaced and now my truck is back on the road! Great mechanics here! I’m not getting a discount or either was told to rate them on here, I just felt it was right thing to do. Since I’m always looking at other people rates when I try to visit new places. Very trustworthy and very honest mechanic! They’re not here to steal or take your money! Best of the Best in town!
