It would be nice to shop in this nice store without getting harrassed 5 times a visit about timeshare scams.

Waited for over two hours just to see a gun to purchase. They had an old man and a young kid helping customers, while two other employees just stood by. Insane.

It's one of my all-time favorite stores. Great employees, I do miss their restaurant though.

Bought a firearm here because it was $20 cheaper. Be prepared to spend at least 3 hours in line to fill out paperwork. Be prepared to spend another 2 to 3 hours to actually pick up your firearm. After having so much extra time to talk to the workers there, some of them told me that folks wait up to 6 hours to do paperwork on weekends. Just support your local gun shop and spend the extra 20 or 30 bucks. As for the sales associates, it was weird. They acted like you were a second class citizen and they were part of some paramilitary organization. 😂 They also wanted my receipt from the purchase. I had a digital receipt but they wanted a hard copy. I told them there is nothing in the Illinois State Statue that requires me to show a hard copy of a purchase. You already have two forms of government identification and an order number. What I'm trying to get at is I've never had to deal with so much BS trying to exercise my second amendment right. They even wanted to know my occupation and why I was buying the gun. I said I refuse to answer that and they said they could not sell me the firearm until I filled it out on the computer. I'm sorry but they do not need to know what I do for a living and why I bought the gun. It is none of their concern. In all honesty I would love to see their FFL license stripped away and they can just go back to selling fishing lures. 😂

I’ve been coming here for years.
For years I could walk in go upstairs grab ammo off the shelf and go to any register I wanted with a food card and checkout.
Now the ammo is locked up only way to access it is to get a worker behind the desk to open a case and get you the ammo. Issue is there’s like a 30+ min line of people trying to file paperwork for a gun purchase. So if you just want ammo well you gotta wait in line to just get a man to get you the ammo. THAN you have to reque in line and wait another half hour to checkout because they no longer allow you to checkout ammo downstairs at the registers
This entire ordeal is horrific it makes this one of the worst places to go for a gun or ammo now unless you like standing in lines for hours. They’ve made it a pain in the rear to just show up and grab last minute ammo for range day fast.
Having items locked behind glass to me is demanding it’s insulting and I no longer will go here. Just like the stores who lock up shampoo and deodorant. I’ll find another place who doesn’t treat everyone walking in. Like a potential theif
