They were great . My insurance got everything in order and Hertz had me in the rental within 10 minutes of arrival . Very friendly staff as well .

Tough situation this week - many flights were canceled at ORD and we needed a rental car to drive back to KC for the start of school but ALL one-way cars were booked at ORD/close to it. We found a car available at the Downers Grove location through their app and reserved...but when I showed up the next morning at 8am, they said they were overbooked and didn't have the size car I needed (apparently the Hertz app doesn't refresh stock in real time). They offered me a smaller car, which wouldn't work. I stuck around for a bit, calling other locations with no luck. Suddenly, I hear the employees from behind the desk say they found me a car in Bolingbrook that they were saving for me. (They said since I was kind to them and helped with a rude customer before me, they really wanted to help me out). Frustrated that the app didn't have an accurate car stock listing, but thankful Downers helped remedy it! I went to Bolingbrook, and Spencer (store manager) was really kind and I saw him vacuuming out the car in real time to be able to rent to me. Appreciate everyone helping out a mom in need!

I wouldn’t even give it one star. They let me prepay for a car to deny me once I get there to pick it up. Then tell me I have to wait 2 weeks to get my money back. Joke off a business.

Came here last minute to rent a car and was helped by Edgard Mis. Although this isn't his regular location I want to say he was very helpful and friendly. He was working non stop and in a great mood even though he was the only one working. Amazing job!!

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!I left my original review on 4/28 it was posted and now I cannot see it.I booked a car for pick up at 3. I received a phone call an hour before my reservation stating they had no cars. The employee did not even attempt to help me find another vehicle. She told me to call customer service. I contacted customer service and was offered another car about 30 minutes away and $75.00 upcharge for the same size vehicle. She also told me that I was not charged because I did not prepay. I asked to speak to her supervisor, she took my contact down and told me I would get a call in 15 mins. Here we are 5 days later and no return call.Thank goodness Enterprise assisted me with no issue and they were cheaperUpdate: 5/08 the location charged me $48.77 for a no show fee and $12.19 in gas fees for a vehicle I never rented. I was told that I would not be charged until pick up. What a mess!

Rented a Tesla that was supposed to be ready at 3:00pm. When I arrived it took 2 representatives about 50 minutes of bouncing me back and forth, ignoring me, and then after 50 minutes they decided to vacuum the car because it wasn’t ready for pickup. Terrible customer service.

After Plainfield store didn't have the car I ordered Hertz made a reservation at this store. I arrived to find the store closed and the employee was late. I went inside and he claimed he didn't have a vehicle for me. I could wait an hour or two and he might have one for me. I left my second hertz store without a vehicle. Very unprofessional staff

The truck is new rides great..absolutely philthy when I picked it up. Dirty from front to back had to waste an hr cleaning it. Not what I paid for!!!!!

This place is terrible I mean terrible. Please don't do business with this company. They need better workers. The workers are lazy and just don't care at least the 1 I talked to. Talk to him on the phone the day before and asked what's all needed for a Rental with them normally I do enterprise and now I see why. Also I never knew you had to do a credit check just to rent a car on top of a $500 deposit. This is information I should've been told before catching a lyft up there .smh they need better workers or This place will be out of business soon!!!

My nephew Eddie Gardner is missing since 3/13/22.The last time he was seen he was driving a 2021 white dodge charger rented from Romeo- Bollingbrook Hertz. Our family pleaded with Hertz to help track the car and they refused. We now need to get the Cook County States Attorney to subpoena Hertz. Our family & friends will never do business with Hertz again.

This location has extremely long wait times. Even with a reserved time, it doesn’t matter. If a person comes in even a minute ahead of you then they help them first before they even acknowledge you or help you. We had an appointment an hour before we even got acknowledged. It’s terrible and don’t recommend it.
