Last night around 9pm I purchased a bunch of items, expecting to try them all on at home and return what I don’t want. The cashier was very slow and unprofessional, I stood in line waiting for 15 minutes while she took her sweet time. I saw the price seemed too high but I was tired and didn’t want to have to have her re do it and get stuck there. I tried on everything in the morning and returned what I didn’t want. When I returned one of the shirts didn’t have a tag and it was taking forever so I asked to go over there to look at the price. I saw the price was 6 but that was for a small so I said 10 then explained it was 6 for a small but I thought it was 10 for an XL. The manager had an associate look, and when I said I didn’t care any more she very rudely accused me of telling her a bunch of numbers to swindle her.I then went back and still felt like the original amount was too high. I added up the items I purchased and realized that I overpaid by over 80 dollars, and some items were either double charged or I had never purchased at all. I tried to handle at Naperville but they said I had to go back to Bolingbrook. I went back and the first two store associates were very nice. One of them even said they were so sorry this happened and their evening staff were not very trustworthy. Then the manager came, and since she remembered me from the morning she was very skeptical and rude. She went down the item list and said that she couldn’t return the funds to me. I told her I literally had every single item left, and said in that case I will return every item because I’m out a lot of money. I returned all my items and she angrily said that one of the items I was returning either were already returned and another I was never charged for. I was like umm yeah my receipt was screwed up I told you this. She was trying to accuse me of stealing or something. I gave her my number and she said she would look into it and call me back.I am now in talks with corporate to try to get my money back. This literally wasted over 3 hours of my day off. I’ve been going to Marshalls for 15 years and this is by and large the worst experience I have ever had in retail. I’m appalled that this happened and I couldn’t even get my money back and instead was accused of being the problem. If I don’t get my money back I will never go to Marshalls again. Shame on them. This is straight up theft.

I absolutely love the atmosphere as well as the friendly attitude of the workers at this location. A while ago I bought some really cute leopard print shorts and even though there were only two left, none of them came with a tag. The workers matched it to a similar athletic short for $16.99. I went home happy until my sister went to the same exact location, found the same shorts as me in a bigger size, and for a much cheaper price ($12.00) only 3 days later. I was pretty upset so I called in advance to see if i can return them and rebuy for the cheaper price and I got hooked up with the manager, who, not gonna lie, had a bit of an attitude. I came in later and the same worker from before who priced me to the athletic shorts, Jocelyn was working. She remembered me and returned them with no hesitation! :) Here’s where the problem arose. She told me to go find the new shorts. I skipped off into the clearance section like my sister mentioned. Nothing. I was starting to freak out at this point, 15 minutes in. That was until another friendly worker, Yesenia, approached me asking if I needed any help finding something. I re explained my situation and she proceeded to help me look. She couldn’t find them, but told me to take another pair that was $12.00 and to tell the worker that Yesenia said it was okay since they were just 12$, they probably already sold out. I was so excited! Jocelyn checked me out again. Thanks to these two ladies, I got my shorts for the cheaper price which really wasn’t a big deal anyway, and I would’ve just repaid the original price I got. They made sure that every customer comes out of the store satisfied. Thank you so much Yesenia and Jocelyn, this small forgetful act for you was a really huge remarkable experience for me. I totally recommend this store for these friendly and helpful workers! :D

The cashiers need to stop walking away during a checkout to talk to other cashiers for 2-3 minutes.

Nice, neat and organized but not as big of a selection as other Marshalls or t.j Maxx stores.On top of that, service at register is slow.Try the Marshalls in Naperville on rte 59 instead.

Purchased item at the Lombard location yesterday. Did not fit so tried to return it with the tag in taked and receipt at another location that was closer to me. However, the cashier had to speak with another employee who stated it was not a brand that they sold so they could not return it. I asked to speak with a manager who said the same thing. I thought this was not right and did not want to drive further so I called customer service. Who than informed me that they should have returned the item. Customer service called the location to speak with another manager who was able to state they can return the item. I went back into the store waited in line to speak with the manager that customer service spoke to. The employee did not page the Manger but I was able to stop her as I heard her name be called by someone else. Than I had to go back in line for them to return an item that they should have done from the beginning. This was a very disappointing visit I had other items that I was going to exchange for which would have given the location another sale and extra money but due to no one confirming the return policy and me having to wait in line 3x. I will not return to this location even though it is closer. As the manager that helped with the return did apologize however it did not help that I had to wait in line 3x for a mistake on their end and which I had to call customer service for.
