This place has a serious and ongoing problem with homeless people inside the building. I’ve reported this issue multiple times, but management completely ignores it.
For those of us who work night shifts, it’s extremely uncomfortable and unsafe to constantly encounter homeless people sleeping in the stairwells and common areas. Having to walk through them just to get to your own home is unacceptable.
The smell is terrible, the environment feels unsafe especially for children and woman, and nothing is being done about it. This situation is beyond frustrating and should not be tolerated in a residential building

Riverstone, this is unacceptable. The snow removal was half done, barely any salt, and the snow truck just pressed everything into solid ice. Then a resident asked maintenance for help and was straight up refused. The FIREFIGHTERS came and helped instead. DO BETTER.

I had the great experience of working with ms Jaquela Paul. She was wonderful, helped me all the way with my application, made sure all my questions were answered on my tour, and whenever I have a problem she makes sure maintenance is there the same day to fix whatever is broken. She is the best in the office. I’m happy to say I had the chance to work with her for my new apartment.

They showed us a beautiful model. We were happy. Move in day. Radiators filled with garbage and heavy dust. Screens on the window, broken. First load of dishes, dishwasher overflowed into the kitchen. . Over the years, we have called maintenance for these issues. Nothing was ever done. To this day, the same screen is on that window. Our dishes end up with a film on them. And the dishwasher smells disgusting. We have an air conditioner that is Gross. filter is in the same shape as when we moved in.. If we take the filter out to attempt to clean it, it is cracked so we had issues with putting it back together. We have another air conditioner in our bedroom. Installed on the wall. Matches the one in our living room. When we tried to use it, all the power would go out. So, i let the property know. I was told that it was put in by the previous tenant. OK. So, who is responsible for it then? No one. For idk how many years there are animals living it. Maybe squirrels. Maybe birds. I don't know but I do know they are in there and it's disgusting to have to hear them in there. What if they eat their way through something and end up in the apartment? Ants. All over. Roaches. Everywhere in the kitchen. We spent our money on sprays and traps. Roaches. all over the kitchen. climbing on food. Which means that it is garbage. In dresser drawers in my bedroom. We have to wash dishes and pots and pans before we cook or eat. It's absolutely disgusting. I could be wrong, but I thought they have in the lease that they spray for stuff like this. Never once had we been notified they are doing that. Now if I am wrong and it's not in the lease, I am not even surprised. This is part one.

Place is a dumppppp. For one dirty beyond belief. The carpets banisters and walls are covered in years of dust dirt and filth. . There’s drunks and tweakers every where and they will follow you around at night. There’s no security. Every apartment seems to have people not on the lease in it, there’s one bedrooms in my building with five people living in them. As a result people destroy the place cus there’s no way to hold them accountable. The front entry door for my building gets destroyed on a regular basis. The door hinge gets broken by people who don’t have keys so they can get back into the building. I think our front door has had to have been repaired about 15 times from people breaking it so they can get back in. They say no pit bulls on the lease and everyone around here has a pitbull which they never walk on leashes they just let loose around the property, and from personal experience I will tell you those dogs WILL attack you. There’s no peace and quiet. Constant parties on the grounds with drunks screaming and throwing all their liquor bottles and cans and food and trash on the ground when not kidding, the dumpster is 60 feet away from where they’re having their parties. My building reeks of weed, cigarettes, and black n milds. And the smoke will get into your apartment and clothes. Lots of fights and domestic abuse situations here as well, the police and fire department are here at least once a month. Not to mention people will literally knock on your windows to let them in up to 4 am. Because so many people live here that aren’t on leases they will literally slam on your windows to let them in even if you don’t know them. Found a used condom in the stairwell too so that was fun. Another building had a homeless person living in the stairwell that was violent and as a result well people couldn’t use that stairwell anymore. Another tenant had their personal mat stolen from outside her front door by the cleaning crew that put it outside to use as a mat for the entrance to the buildings. The “cleaning” crew by the way vacuums the building and carries around one dirty mop with no buckets to rinse it to mop every entrance. You can literally see the mop streaks of dirt and grime. There are roaches and flies and partly due to the fact that the doors for all buildings are permanently left open. Which brings up the problem of homeless people and vandals. I’ve had to ask homeless people and roving groups of teens looking for places to smoke weed out of my building. Don’t expect them to handle any of these issues either. If there’s someone that’s causing issues they won’t investigate it. They will ask you to document it all and bring them enough proof until they can do something about it. To be honest I’m not sure what they do in the office all day because they really can’t do anything about any issue that you bring to them. If it says anything the mayor of Bolingbrook is pissed about this place and as a result code enforcement is here weekly. The model is NOTHING like what youl actually have after move in. We’re talking landlord special with tacky bubbly paint, cracked walls, there were cobwebs in our apartment when we first moved in. Also if you live here talk to no one. I had a drunk guy threaten to fight me because I didn’t have a cigarette to give him. The residents here will threaten you over the smallest things here like it’s a jungle and they’re fighting for territory. It’s literally one of the worst places I’ve ever lived in that’s priced like a property that’s nice. 1350 for a one bedroom with roaches, trash, and drinks everywhere. The appliances look like they haven’t been updated since the 90s. The cabinets in the kitchen are beaten and scratched up and just dirty on move in. The countertops are cheap vinyl and the underside is plywood that crumbles and breaks if you so much as touch the underside.

Stay far away from here. Literally spent way too much time here and cannot wait to get out of here. If you love living where folks leave their garbage in the halls, trash everywhere except in the garbage cans, their model is nothing like the apartment you will get. Oh also if you love the pot smoke from neighboring apartments find its way into your apartment, used condoms in the hallways, floor drains in the one laundry room for a whole roll of apartments to use make sure you get your waders out because you’ll need them due to the backup that comes from it. Make sure you don’t live right across from the laundry room because of the mold problem that was caused from a leak into the walls and then getting into the floor from the laundry room. Want to make sure that your building is secure? Good luck on that front because the people that live here will either break the door hinge or keep it propped open with rocks, random garbage, or the mats they put in the entry ways. Management never wants to take accountability for it and wants the tenants to figure it out for them who keeps doing it and report back to them. I’m sorry I don’t work for Riverstone, I work a full time job already and don’t need to do their job for them. If this place really cared for their tenants they’d actually do something for them instead of beating around the bush. Not to mention if you don’t mind sharing your space with the roaches please move in here. This place is destroying the reputation of Bolingbrook.

I would like to share my appreciation for the wonderful support I received during my move-out process. One of the staff members, Jaquela Paul, in the Compliance Office, has been incredibly informative, helpful, and prompt with her responses. She assisted me with every question I had and always followed up on inquiries as agreed upon. Her guidance made the entire move-out process smooth and reassuring, giving me confidence that I was completing everything properly. She has always been my go-to person for any questions or concerns, and I truly value her professionalism and kindness.
I’m grateful to have resided at Riverstone and for the exceptional service and support provided by the staff.

I moved in 2 weeks ago this place is infested with roaches, it looked all beautiful and clean when I did my walkthrough of course looks can be deceiving, I’ve already had to by roach traps and tons of spray and nothing works they come out every Friday to spray for “pest” no it’s roaches there’s no other bugs but those, once I break my lease I will NOT be paying anything, so I hope whomever see this from the company is ready to work with me. Best regards

This place is a dump . 8 yrs and maintenance only goes in the apartment to steal food . They allow workers who live there steal others electric ,WiFi. Put cable in others names. Coke heads in hallways all time of day.Doors don't lock, won't fix apt door. Bugs everywhere. There is Radon seeping in the apartments. A silent gas killer. No railings to get up the stairs.Hallways smells like straight up pee. Hallway and apartment carpeting are dirtier than the sidewalks. They advertise, pool, excersise room, playroom,WiFi room,Laundry room. There are no such things. They raise your rent before the lease is even over. Dump should be torn down. The employees are rudist people I've ever met. No respect.
