I've been to LensCrafters before several times. This time, I happened to be 10 minutes late for my appointment. They moved their location recently and I inadvertently went to their old one. I also had my 11 year old with me.
I got into the pre-exam fairly quickly. My 11 year old had to wait in the lobby, but that was ok since it didn't take too long. Afterwards, I went out to the lobby to wait for the optician to call for me. Since I was 10 minutes late, it was a few minutes after 1, 1:05 at the most. While we waited, my 11 year old and I played games on my phone.
We played a lot of games. At 1:35 he asked me how much longer it was going to be. I asked him to be patient just a little longer since it was us who was late and if we didn't get back by 2:00 we would re-schedule and leave.
Two o'clock came. I told him to get up and that we were leaving. Just as we stood to leave the optician came out and called my name. The wait from just after the pre-exam to getting called back was just a few minutes short of an hour.
The exam didn't take long. Maybe 15, 20 minutes at the most. After that I went back out to the lobby where I was asked by a clerk (I don't know their real title-could be clerk or salesman), if I wanted new glasses. I asked him if I could just get new lenses put into my existing frame. After looking at the frame, they said they could do that and we started talking about what kind of lenses to get for the frame.
For the same lenses that I have now, progressive with anti-glare and transitions, I was quoted over $500 dollars! THIS WAS ONLY FOR LENSES!!! Needless to say, I declined. I had previously gone to my eye insurance website and used their "price estimator" to get a ball park figure of what I would be spending. Their estimate was around $370 for frames and similar lenses. After I told the clerk this he poked some touch screen of his tablet some more and lowered the price. This time to total was over $400. Again, this was for lenses ONLY. The $370 estimate was for frames AND lenses. In fact, the over $400 figure was about twice what I paid for my current pair of glasses, frames AND lenses.
Needless to say, I am not going to get new lenses from LensCrafters. In fact, due to the long wait time and outrageous pricing I won't be going back at all. The reason why I gave them 2-stars instead of 1-star is the people. The employees were cordial and pleasant. I wish them the best as I won't be going back.

I tried TSO and had a very bad experience. Found this clinic online which had great reviews, and I decided to give them a try. All the great reviews were accurate! The clinic is very clean and ran professionally. The doc was fantastic and will give you the information needed to make a decision.

The entire staff was extremely helpful. The fire alarm went off during my visit, and they did the right thing making sure I was safe, while clearly worried it would upset me to prolong my visit. Some people may not appreciate that, but I did. During my visit I discussed my issue of increasingly having problems wearing contacts. Every other eye doctor I’ve been to has just recommended a new brand, insisting they’d work for me, and send me on my way. Dr Cope took the time to make a simple assessment, and found what he believed to be the real culprit. He advised me of a simple treatment plan before attempting contacts again, and invited me to come back if/when I decide to order more. It may seem small, but it has bothered me for several years that I can’t wear contacts anymore. As a patient, I truly appreciate someone finally taking my concern seriously and not just shuffeling me through and encouraging me to throw more money away on contacts. I’ve never been “loyal” to an eye care place before, but going forward I will be.

Optometrist was excellent!! Connie the geriatric sales associate not so much. She kept huffing, threw her pen down at one point... all because I wanted price quotes on two different frames. Horrible customer service. She even was rude to someone on the phone, while looking up my quotes. Sorry, but Connie needs to retire ASAP! Unless you guys want sub standard customer service.
