“I had such a great experience thanks to the bartender, Tarah ??! She was incredibly sweet, welcoming, and really knew her drinks inside and out ?. I’m super picky when it comes to cocktails and usually have a hard time deciding what I’ll actually enjoy ?. But instead of getting annoyed, Tarah just smiled and said, “I got you girl!!” ?♀️✨. That instantly made me feel comfortable and taken care of. She recommended the perfect drink, and it ended up being absolutely amazing ??. It’s rare to find someone so patient, friendly, and confident in what they do. Great service like that really makes a place stand out, and I’ll definitely be coming back because of how awesome she was ??”

“We were able to book last minute (It's not tourist season quite yet) driving back from a quick trip north. Needed to stop for the night. Worked out perfectly and had a pretty good breakfast. Better than continental. Had enhanced flavored water as I'm not a huge fan of juice. Room was clean and large. Would stay here again”

“Let me keep this simple for you. 5 GOLDEN STARS! I hope you want to read a story because this here is a modern Oddessy. Me and the Man Who Drives With Me had busted out of two beer joints wherein the clientel seemed to be pondering the fun in pummling yours truly! Anyhow some hotels in Kanakee don't have rooms available....no comment from me ....but FAIRFIELD INN HAS ROOM OPEN AND POOL CLOSED!!! We saw the bright lights of the carnival down the street and we hollered. What do you want at your hotel? Bed? Shower? 2 towels per man? Toilet? Lightbulbs that turn on and off? Well, friend Fairfield Inn has all of those things and even more things that I can't write down because I don't have all day. We're driving to see my Mom. My boy thought his coffee was hot Dr. pepper (a colleauge of his) but it wasn't so. He is FUNNY! The TV will shout about weather and the breakfast is eggs! It might be important to know one man woke up before the other man. Maybe he doesn't need as much sleep? I don't know why. Let stay on topic...5 stars 5 star 5 golden stars!”

“My daughter had to do a SCUBA Certification at Haigh Quarry. The location was ideal in the room worked out pretty well. The first and best compliment I can make is that unlike most shower/tub that I’ve ever stayed at in various other hotels three and four star the shower drained perfectly instead of standing in an inch of water. We stayed on the first floor near smoking room rooms and our non-smoking room had no actual smell of smoke. Slight smell in the hallways, but that’s reality if you have actual smoking room rooms. Very nice clean place to stay minimal breakfast with all that we needed to be able to get going for the day I would recommend this even after reading all the other reviews”

“If you're looking for a five star hotel, this isn't it. But if you need a clean place to stay with a decent room on a budget, this is the place. I've been in hotels at $120+ night that look more run down, old and beat up than this place. Common areas are clean, staff was friendly. Room was clean and tidy, well furnished and quite large. The only disappoint was the water closet (tub and toilet) - newer toilet, but the tub needed an update, the door and wall paint/plaster was old and shoddy and the steel door frame was starting to rust. But for under $85/night, I would not complain at all!”
