We had a great experience buying our 5th Wheel from Camping World in Braidwood. They have a great staff, especially working with our salesman, Chris Moser. We live in the Austin, Tx and saw the RV online that we were looking for and at a great price. We contacted Camping World and talked to Chris on the phone. He gave us a virtual tour of the RV and answered all of our questions. He took care of setting up an appointment and getting the paperwork started. We drove to Braidwood, and he had everything ready for us to purchase the 5th wheel. Even after the sale, he called to ensure everything was working and to see if we had any questions. I would highly recommend working with Chris if you are interested in buying an RV.

Worked with Chris as the salesman and Ben as manager as well as Mike in service. We my wife and I could not have had a better experience from start to finish even after a small hiccup. All staff went above and beyond to make our experience with them amazing. Highly recommend.

We just bought our 3rd camper from the Braidwood IL location! Our salesman Jake was awesome, knowledgeable, and straight forward with us the entire time! We were able to get all of our needs met within our budget while getting a great camper!!! Ben was helpful throughout the entire process as well! We hit a couple bumps during it all and he reassured us and dealt with everything we had thrown at him! He did everything to make sure we were satisfied and got what we wanted! Kelly in the store part was also so willing and helpful at getting us some extras for our new camper too! All around great, friendly staff!

Honestly I'm not even sure where to begin. My wife and I bought a brand new camper from them and were very happy with the salesman that worked with us. But as soon as we got the camper home it was nothing but trouble. The sinks leaked, the a/c didn't work right and kept causing the breakers to pop and it was over 100 degrees outside, the thermostats were faulty, the shower leaked horribly and was ruining the floor, the toilets leaked, the second toilet didn't flush correctly which caused water to spray all over the wall, and my family and I were woken up in the middle of the night to a gas leak alarm. I had to replace several outlets myself becuase I just couldn't keep the power on and refused to wait weeks for a response. There were more problems that we have dealt with but let me get to the WORST part. Through ALL of these problems I wouldn't have been so upset if they had taken care of it but anytime we would call (usually a few times a week) we were assured we would be receiving a call back but NEVER did. We've been dealing with most of these problems since day one but when they FINALLY picked the camper up to "work on it" we got it back a week later and our sinks still leak and they "fixed" the shower so now it won't get hot no matter how hard we try. So we've been taking cold showers. We haven't received so much as an update or a call back. The manager seemed nice at first but we have left him at LEAST a dozen messages without a single call back. I understand the management life is demanding, but at some point the customer has to be a priority. My wife and I have spent our life savings on this BRAND NEW unit, and we haven't regretted anything more in our entire lives. It's like as soon as they got our money, we no longer mattered. To make a long story short, if you're considering buying a camper, I'd suggest you take your business elsewhere.

Most unorganized facility. Can not retain staff. No one knows what's going on there. No one returns calls. Took 3 months to get outside light fixed. It is now not working again a month later. Have been contacting them the last 2 months to get fixed. Still no return call. You can never talk to service because they will only take a message. This is not the only problem we have had with our camper bought there. They sold it to us with cracked pipes which they should have found when they unwinterized it at time of purchase. Took over 3 months to get that fixed. We wish we never bought from this facility!

More interested in gathering all your personal information and contact data than they are in showing the product. Give Camping World your phone number and email and lookout - they’ll be blowing you up.Decided to stop in and couldn’t believe the number of employees on staff in sales attempting to look busy. Left empty handed and didn’t look at any units because of all the formality necessary to simply look at a camper.I went down the road to Pontiac and bought one with ZERO hassles, no text messages or emails, no high pressure tactics that it seems Camping World is trained for.The concept of Camping World as a nationwide dealer network is great, but it fell flat with this consumer.I’ll never go back & advise everyone to look elsewhere for less pressure and more value.

Bought a used Winnebago diesel pusher from CW in Kenosha and had a few items to have repaired after taking our first trip (stairs and generator exhaust pipe). My coach was there for almost 4 weeks and they hadn’t even assessed the parts needed for the repairs yet. When I pushed Gwen about the delays, it took her 2 more days to get an estimated delivery for the parts, which was going to take another 10 days !!! What a joke. I took my RV to Terry’s in Frankfort and get the repairs done in 3 days. CW Braidwood is the last place I would ever take an RV for repairs. I let CW HQ know as well.

I called a salesperson I had spoke to in the past to have help with questions about a motorhome to purchase. At first everything was fine until I asked for a price discount. The salesperson said he had to go to management as they paid more to the owners they got it from. Ok understandable so work up the numbers for the purchase. Told them the down payment we'd give and that I wanted around a $300 monthly payment. Salesperson went to management and came back with the information that it was impossible to get a payment so low. Not once did they ask for our credit information in the right way, they just threw some numbers together without the correct credit info to realistically give us the kind of loan we expected when you both have credit ratings in the 800s and yearly income after taxes of $65,000, it was insulting to say the least because we wanted a discount. The salesperson was to go to management with an offer with a discount on another motorhome for us and guess what they dropped us, no call backs or trying to get our business just because we bad rapped the wrong way they figured the purchase price without actually having correct personal lending information, just picking a rate and term that was high for people with lower credit ratings and incomes. Again very embarrassing and the wrong way to get customers. So needless to say we've gone elsewhere and got a great deal because they wanted to make a sale. They took a actual loan application and we got our discount and low rate loan with the $300 payment we wanted. So beware of Camping World sales tactics.

Had a great shopping experience. Our salesperson listened to our needs and didn’t pressure us to buy. My fiancé and I had the pleasure of meeting Ben before we finalized our purchase. He answered all of our questions and made sure we understood all the numbers before signing the dotted line! If do stop by, make sure you chat with Ben. His knowledge of the industry blew us away! Highly recommend!

Terrible place! They are crooks! They are trying to get people to pick up insurance through them and would be given a lower APR vs. a higher APR if they didn’t. The manager Ben is a scam artist. With a good credit score expected us to pay almost $28,000 over what the unit is worth in interest, we would be paying for the term of the loan. They got angry when we asked about all the fees that they were trying to get us to pay. The finance manager got hostile because we questioned them. They did not even have the numbers printed up on paper to see all the fees, it was wrote in highlighter on a paper. Unprofessional staff. I would not recommend this place. Way too pushy, and attempts to pressure you into buying without knowing exactly what you are paying for.

Updated Review:Just bought our 5th wheel there over the weekend and wanted to give our full experience.Liberty was great, very pleasant and super nice, very easy to work with. However, they told us that they would give us 9,200 for our trade in (without seeing it, and I know numbers will change but just by this number I wasn’t going to trade it it), and upon arrival (without our camper) the trade in value then dropped to 4,500. They said they couldn’t find who we had talked to get that number, which is fine because we still weren’t going to trade it in given the first price. Our “final sales guy” can’t remember his name but he was down from Minnesota helping, was awful. Very rude and said he didn’t care to throw away the deal (already after paperwork had been signed and check was there and processed for over a week).Backstory because we heard this from a unnamed person helping us: they greatly overpaid for our camper when they purchased it (not my fault) and during our walkthrough, the maintenance guy noticed the AC wasn’t working…so they had to put in a new AC on the spot (again not my fault), then after going through everything again and also now realizing that the power jack motor is also out and they have to replace that (again not my fault) so I’m not sure if it wasn’t fully checked upon our arrival or if this just happened but it was completely out of our hands. I know they give a referral gift card as well as money to spend in the store…our “finally sales guy from Minnesota” was so mad that 1, they lost a lot of money on the sale (not my fault you agreed to the price), 2, had to then replace the AC and power jack motor (again not my fault), and now 3, they have to replace the fan covers because they are all cracked (noticed that when we got home) he downright refused the referral and any store credit and said we could trash the whole deal. None of this was my fault and should have been noticed before our arrival. From time of purchase to our arrival to pickup the camper was 9 days, more than enough time to figure things out. And this is not about the referral or the in store credit, it was how we were talked to and pretty much blamed for the terrible deal HE made.If I could give 5 stars to these people though, PLEASE LET THEM KNOW! James S, he was down from the Chicago office to help, he was great and so personable. Joey in service was absolutely amazing and made everything right, they are even coming down to my house to install the jack motor and to bring the fan covers. And also Chris and James in service, two down to earth guys who also helped us tremendously making sure we were taken care of until we pulled off the lot. So a huge thank you to those three for making our not good experience a pretty good one!

Rude and very unorganized. I found the perfect 5th wheel and were approved, but to finish the deal was not happening. Finance guy didn't care whether we got the camper or not. So we left the table. Spending over $ 70,000 dollars on a camper is kind of a big deal.
