A wonderful park - great camp grounds, tons of hiking and mountain biking trails, nice facilities. Need to add an additional dumping station as well as water hookup at each site. Overall though, very nice!

This is a lovely place---quiet, peaceful, and green (in summer and fall). And, it's surprisingly dark for clear and stunning starry nights

Deer population is down. Hunter population is up. Makes for a bad experience.

It’s really quiet and it’s much larger than I expected.

I only spent a short time here, but it was relatively busy and looked clean & maintained. I did not use the restrooms, but they looked good from the outside. It was a nice quiet city park as far as I could tell.

I tent camped. Well groomed area with spaces between sites. Be prepared to carry your stuff a ways depending on which site you choose. Bathrooms need attention but shower was good.

Park and trails are good but there are very few signs to indicate where you are or which way to go. Good for locals but not worth driving to. Also we had to leave early because the shooting was so loud.

Beautiful! And just 30 min from home for me. Easy enough to find, however easier access to the fields was found on Thousand Dollar Road, just down the road and one turn from the location that the map leads you to. Seems to be cars always parked along the sides of the road, so look for that!

Great place for a family gathering, a cookout, a walk, or a hike. Bathrooms are pit toilets and there's a running water spigot at each site with a bathroom.Playground: Nice playgrounds scattered throughout the parks.Restrooms: Pit toilets, running water spigot.Picnic area: Several covered pavilions.

The camp site we chose was amazing with plenty of shade, good hookups for the camper, and good grading for an additional tent. The neighbors were respectful (but I know that this kind of thing can vary wildly from day to day). The reservation process was seamless. The only downfall was that the trails were completely overgrown on our visit at the end of May '23. We opted to not hike them for concerns of ticks in tall grasses.

I am new the area and discovered this hidden gem. The state park has good fishing opportunities but be ready to hike and wade. If you are in the park at night, expect a beautiful firefly show!

The picture says it all. Lazing away at the campground. Nice lots. Drinking water stations about every 4 camp sites. Look for blue square bastion, spigots are on the back side. We filled up there as we didn't see one coming into the campgroundDog-friendliness: As you can see my dog loved it.

Great place for hiking and spending the day. Also great for catching blue fill, but hard to find a spot that doesn't have a bunch of weeds and other plant material to get snagged on. Very pretty and peaceful camping area.

Review Date: October 14th, 2015First impressions are hard to change…If you live in Illinois at all, you know of the budget cuts, budget cuts, tax increases, budget cuts. Jubilee College State Park is one of those that has been hit by budget cuts. Decided to check this place and Jubilee Cafe out in the same day.My first time there, I encountered a few areas that were closed due to inadequate staffing. So a lot of places have become overgrown and broken down. This state park is beautiful and it’s a shame that it is in such a bad shape. While looking up some info on it to write this short blog, it appears that after 3 years they finally have a (volunteer?) Park Ranger and a volunteer group to help clean the place up and make it usable.Having never been here, I tried quite a few different places that I thought were openings to go hiking, but I really never could tell what was what since everything was overgrown. Now if this volunteer group is helping out and making the place a bit friendlier, I would love to go back and check it out again. Maybe even update this blog post. I just hope I don’t have to mark it ‘Closed’.It fills me with such sorrow that beautiful recreational places like these are cut short on budgets and fall into disuse. I won’t get into politics, but I hope they figure something out and restore this park and all the other closed/understaffed to their rightful natural beauty.

We recently stayed at this park. Very quiet, clean and friendly. My husband had a medical emergency while we were there and we couldn’t have ask for a better response from the host to all the emergency staff in the area. 5 stars for sure!
