On 3/13/23 Home Depot in Broadvieew, IL. installed a new door. The threshold they installed is 2 3/8 inches high. I have already tripped over it several times and even fractured a toe. I wrote a letter to the store included photos of a ruler showing the height or how high it is. The first person Josh that took the file from me at the store was nice. However, I got a phone call from a women at the store saying there was nothing they could do and it must be like that due to the height of my floors from the foyer to the hallway. If that was true why was the one they removed a normal height and not a tripping hazzard? She basically said they would do nothing. So I'm stuck having spent $2,836.02 on a door thats cuts higher with a threshold that someone is going to fall over. Never buying anything from them again. Poor customer service, they just don't care about seniors or keeping people safe.

Love Home Depot but I will never use Roadie if I can help it. I placed a small order from Home Depot for 5 drawer handles, 2 orange pumice cleaners, 1 laundry Detergent, and 1 pack of dryer sheets. Roadie was to deliver my items, didn't like HomeDepot wasn't delivering themselves since Home Depot is 5 minutes from my house. When the delivery left the store my husband and I waited outside for "Elizabeth O. in her Large Red SUV". The delivery never came. I called the store, spoke to Cam the Operations Manager, and told them them that I suspect the delivery driver stole my items. Roadie claimed it was delivered but the delivery photo was of my items still in Elizabeth's car and not on my porch. I also had security footage that proved she never delivered my items to the porch as she claimed. Cam was adamant that Roadie was not following protocol and Elizabeth continued to lie about the delivery. Because of Cam's of being on the phone with Roadie for over 20 minutes and not backing down...the horrible delivery driver magically reappeared to bring me my items that she was trying to steal. On my security camera you can see her racing down my block, then running to my porch to drop off the items so she could get away before I could confront her. If it wasn't for Cam's sincere effort at the Broadview Illinois Home Depot, this horrible person Elizabeth would have kept my items. My security camera was the icing on the cake that proved she is a liar. Beware of Roadie and never let Elizabeth O touch your items because you won't get them. Best customer service is in Broadview Illinois. Thank you Cam!

went to look for a specific wall paper to finish my project. App online showed 11 in stock. Went to check. Asked an old lady working on the Back section of the store for help. She sayed they didn't have wall paper. Like seriously.

There was a staff member that was very rude. He kicked me out while I was shopping for 2x4 wood with my service dog. He claimed dogs weren't allowed and I acknowledged what he has said and explained my dog was a service animal for medical alert. He continued to disrespect me and I just left. I wouldn't recommend this store for shopping if you are someone with a service animal.

We go to this Home Depot quite often, it's not even the closest one to our home but we always go back because we've never had a bad experience! This Home Depot is very clean, always well stocked, and I've never had a problem getting help or finding an associate when I need one. The entire store had hand sanitizer stations and all associates were wearing masks. They have a large parking lot, tons of stalls for online/curbside pick up, and many carts and dollies available right when you get out of your car. Keep it up! Love to have high-quality locations like this one so close by.

Every time I try to check stock in the store by phone it takes me 10 minutes on hold, they come back and say "what was that model number again" UGHHHHHHHHHHH. One time Cassandra did go over and physically check to see if the item was in stock. Most associates just let the phone ring and ring and ring.

Whoever the door greeter is on 7/23/20 at around 1 pm at your location made me feel violated. This old man seemed to only be able to look at my chest and only looked away to look me up and down multiple times. I don't feel comfortable after my experience at this Home Depot location. Please review through HR. It was just disgusting, dirty old man behavior.

All the plants in the garden center are dry and dead from not being watered. Why even have a garden center?

We had a great visit here to get a few plants for ourselves and a few gifts! The social distancing reminders here are excellent. There is signage inside and outside of the store. There was even a large garden center set up outside in the parking lot with wide aisles with a huge selection. To get in the store, there was a socially distanced line and everyone of course had to have a mask to enter. We went straight to the usual garden center to pick out our goodies. Everything was nicely organized and every employee I saw had a mask on. They had a great selection in the inside garden center as well. I could have been in there for hours shopping around.I picked out a cute little succulent and a pot to put it in. I loved that they had various types of succulents. My favorites ones are the two toned ones! I picked out another house plant and we also got some fresh herbs to plant: basil, oregano, thyme, and rosemary. The basil and rosemary plants were plentiful but the oregano and thyme were going quick! We snagged another pot for the second house plant we were getting as a gift. Their pot selection here is so nice. All different types of colors and sizes. We found a purple-blue hand painted clay pot that worked perfectly for what we wanted. I was very happy with all of our selections. For checkout, they had the clear dividers to separate us from the cashier. The cashier was fine. Didn't show any expression but wasn't rude by any means. I'm sure these employees are working long hours and keep it up because you're doing great! One thing to note, if you have to return anything, expect about 20-30 minutes wait time. We came on a Thursday night. We realized we accidentally bought two bags of fertilizer so I stood in line to return one. There was only one cashier and a line of about 6 people that moved very slowly. The gentleman who ended up opening a second register was kind and quick with my return!

Went to buy plumbing supplies. Asked for help finding the right product to fit two pipes mismatched pipes together. Plumbing associate kept saying my drain couldn't fit in my sink (it does). Kept asking how it fits (didn't matter, my issue was connecting my drain to the pipes). Went around in circles about the sink for him to say nothing could be done about the pipes (fine). He left and I moved onto purchase my second item, an extended faucet hose. While there, me and another customer started chatting about the pipe in my hand. He picked it up insisting there was a solution to my problem. Shortly after, the employee came back to the aisle. Seeing the pipe in the other customer's hand, he yelled down the aisle to me, "OH SO MY TWENTY YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WASNT ENOUGH FOR YOU?!" So unprofessional. Cant help but wonder if he would've behaved the same way if I was a man or came in with my husband.By the way, I got home and successfully secured the pipes after doing some googling. Will not be coming back to this location.

We hired this Home Depot to remodel our 10' x 10.5' kitchen over 6 months ago. They said they could get started in 4 weeks and would get it done in 1 Week. We had already removed all the floors and cabinets ourselves so we believed it could easily be done. Over 5 months later, it's still not finished. When they started the demolition, they didn't cover anything in the adjacent rooms or put up the plastic curtains that other vendors do until we sent them pictures of the layers of dust throughout the house. The biggest problem was with the appliances (also purchased from this Home Depot). On their first delivery attempt, they said the refrigerator was too big, so they took it back and we purchased a whole new set of appliances including a smaller refrigerator. During the second delivery attempt they brought us somebody else's damaged refrigerator. On the third attempt, the guy said it wouldn't fit. I told him that it's the same size as the old one which was removed and made a suggestion on how to get it in. He responded by saying "no, we already spent too much time on this". On the FOURTH delivery attempt, the guy said his delivery order was for "drop-off only" and he placed the refrigerator at the front door and left. When my wife got home from work, she and I carried the 242 pound refrigerator up the spiral staircase. I'm not a big guy by any stretch and my wife is smaller than me.I reached out to the district manager by phone and email 2 weeks ago but haven't received a response. There was a 4 hour window for each of the 4 delivery attempts requiring a total of 16 hours of my time. The designers at the store apologized but offered nothing else. Several of the cabinets arrived damaged and many were/are pitted. Trim pieces are out of alignment and there are gaps between the cabinets and ceiling. We were without water in the kitchen for nearly 2 months. We paid for this entire job in advance. This job could easily have been done in under 2 weeks if Home Depot's subcontractors didn't jump back and forth between jobs. And the appliances obviously do fit through the front door.

Unfortunate trip to the Home Depot again. Customer service is not in their business plan. I really long for the days of the helpful hardware man. You cannot find an associate to help you. The associates don't know where things are. The cashiers don't know where to find the codes. You can easily get your 10,000 steps just trying to figure out where things are. I am sure once the executives lay off or down size workers they will come and help you out. Support local businesses if there are any left
