Dangerous driver going through Holbrook, AZ ! I called the company to let them know and she apologized on behalf of their driver. But it's scary when a driver uses their big rig to have road rage and almost run us off the road TWICE! We have children in the back and this mentally ill driver needs to be fired! It started when he merged into our lane without care and we honked, because he made us slam on our brakes...he then kept honking at us repeatedly and when we were at a red light he was in the right lane and us in the left lane. He almost crashed into our SUV because instead of waiting to get over he merged in the left lane(where we were) to avoid a parked vehicle- he is DANGEROUS. As a driver of a big rig you should be more level headed. This driver is going to cause an accident and don't say I didn't warn you!!!!!

Michael Barrios and driver Robert Smith are an amazing team. From start to finish they were efficient, professional, friendly and stress free. Their attention to detail was impeccable. Updates from driver Robert Smith added to the peace of mind of moving, which is always a challenge when relocating across the country.I highly recommend Michael Barrios and driver Robert Smith and would definitely want them on my team for my next move.Thank you Michael and Robert! GREAT JOB!Sincerely,Kathleen Sullivan

Great job all the way from Ft Myers FL to Leland NC. Coordinated by Michael Barrios and his assistant Tiffany. The movers and driver took great care of our belongings. Got lots of estimates and they had the best pricing. Thanks again.

We had a great experience with National Van Lines! Our parents moved from FL to MN and there were so many logistics involved to pull it off for them. Michael Barrios, our main contact, was kind and quick at responding to all of our questions and oversaw everything from start to finish. Our driver had good communication for pick up/delivery, was friendly, and took good care of our parents belongings. When we received our estimate we were told that it wouldn’t be higher (even if the weight was more) but it could be less if the weight was less. We thought there was no way anyone would ever tell us if it was less, but they did!! Our parents belongings were less weight than estimated and the price was reduced for them. We greatly appreciate the honesty and have nothing but good things to say about this move.

National Van lines helped me move a few pieces of furniture from my late father's house in one state to my house in another. The customer service team of Sam and Tiffany made the move as easy as possible. I would definitely use them again in the future.

** ? Would NOT RECOMMEND:My recent relocation move with National Van Lines was largely DISAPPOINTING! As with many service industries - from initial setup, the communication was acceptable.HOWEVER, as my pickup date was near - I was INCORRECTLY informed that my date was to be 9/13. Thus, I put plans in place to prepare particularly on the destination end. That morning NO SHOW, NO COMMUNICATION!!? Well, surprise - the Moving Organizer (Sam) NEVER responded to any of my contact attempts the entire time to address this issue or apologize.* A Moving Coordinator (Tiffany) did at least return my call - informing me that she was "not made aware that Dispatch CHANGED MY PICKUP DATE to 9/14)!!!!? (I will at least credit Tiffany with attempting to keep me informed during this entire ordeal).** Of course - there was ZERO recourse for this COMPLETE IRRESPONSIBLE LACK OF FUNDAMENTAL COMMUNICATION!!! SO -- I had to scramble to make changes on the destination end - WHICH was a bit costly!** Lastly - upon finally picking up my items - I figured a reasonable time to RECEIVE them on the destination end would be at least 1 - 3 days; BUT NO: my items were *DELIVERED 6 DAYS LATER*! Sure, they gave me a "spread delivery date" of a few days, but 6 DAYS is highly UNACCEPTABLE to hold a customer's personal items - traveling around on a truck God knows where!!** Of course again there was ZERO communication from the the Moving Coordinating staff -- of which Nat'l Van Lines CONTRACTS OUT statewide moves to OTHER Moving Companies-- so they DO NOT handle moves from beginning to end as they wrongfully state!! Thus, one has to rely on for communicating the WHEREABOUTS of my items with other CONTRACTED MOVERS.** It was only due to the Driver that I was informed the day before about their ETA (5 days later).** By the way- the Moving Coordinator STILL gave me the INCORRECT delivery date - once AGAIN - HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION!I would NOT RECOMMEND National Van Lines whatsoever!

Used them to move the heaviest 1/3 of our furniture across the country from Denver Metro to North Georgia. The CO coordinator who did the quote was fast, friendly and helpful, the national coordinator was helpful and keep me informed of when the truck would come to CO and kept me informed as info became available to him. The crew that picked-up our furniture was friendly, fast and did a great job, the driver who went from CO to GA was great and made sure we got everything and it was in good shape. The GA moving crew were friendly, hardworking and got everything into our home quickly and carefully. Hope we don't have to move again anytime soon, but would use National again.

BEWARE! This company does not have its own trucks or crew. Does not even deserve one star. Wish I knew that before I booked with them. Scheduled my move two months in advance. The day before my scheduled packing and loading I called National Van Lines to find out when my crew was coming and they did not have anyone lined up for me. It took them four days to scrounge up three men and two U-Haul trucks. These three men did not work for any reputable moving company I might add. I am now three days behind on my move. My family and I had to purchase boxes and packing paper to pack my own belongings. This was supposed to be a complete pack, load and move contracted job. My husband and I then had to arrange additional moving crews to help with the packing and loading in order to be out on time. We have moved with other major moving lines in the past, this was the worst move ever! Please do not book your move with this company. Very unprofessional, unorganized, uncaring and awful business I have ever worked with. Always remember, the cheapest isn't always the best. We incurred many damages to our belongings. They packed our 13,000 pound move into two (2) 20 foot U-Haul trucks. Tables were smashed, gas grill smashed, outdoor heater bent, dining room table legs gouged, fabric stained and ripped, etc. I hope I can add photos to this review. This is our life in two trucks and they had no regard whatsoever. REMINDER: do not book with National Van Lines!

We had a very tight timeline of when we needed our home packed up on one end and our belongings delivered on the other end to our new home due to a variety of circumstances. Tom and Janine worked with us to make sure we got what we needed when we needed it. All other moving companies were telling us our timeline was impossible, but these people made it happen. Our driver Daniel was also very helpful and communicative.

Kelly Kirkman was awesome. She was very friendly and kind. Even when I barraged her with countless little questions, she never seemed like I was bothering her and answered me right away. I think you have a gem in her. The movers led by Matthew Murphy were very hard working and dedicated to doing a good job. They were very respectful and accommodating. I would use NVL again but hope I love where I live and do not have to!

The best a move could ever be. From my first call with Sam to the day of pickup and all the way to delivery day, it could not have been smoother. Sam is a pro - patient, answered question after question, accurately prepared our paperwork. Knowing you possessions are onboard with an experienced, professional driver (Jason) is a ton of peace of mind -- many thanks to Jason!

The Logistics/Organizing:I needed to move items from a studio apartment in the midwest to the east coast. I had a queen sized bed, some shelves, a couch, an arm chair, and about 20 boxes of various sizes. I worked primarily with Joe Kim, who was fabulous from my quote through delivery of items.Joe was extraordinarily knowledgeable, quick to respond to emails, and checked in with me at logical points as I progressed from a quote, to moving day, to the date of delivery of my boxes and furniture. I was extremely anxious about my cross-country move, having heard horror stories about lost and damaged items from colleagues and family members, but my moving process was quick, friendly, and so far, I have not observed any damage to my fragile items (though I am still in the process of unpacking). Joe was reassuring during the entire process. Both Joe and Lori were responsive to concerns and questions that I raised ahead of my furniture pick up regarding scheduling, truck size, and delivery estimates. My quoted estimate wound up being the amount I paid—no surprise fees. The Move Itself:Delivery itself happened super quickly. Were it not for Labor Day and some freight elevator scheduling woes at my building, this probably would have been a Friday pickup, Monday delivery (it wound up being a Friday-Thursday pickup-delivery). For both loading and delivery, it took a little over an hour from parking the truck to finishing the job. Movers listened to my instructions and acted with care and concern. The teams led by Bladimir and two others (pick up team) and Jorge, Fernando, and Elvin (delivery team) were top notch.I bought plastic wrap and pads to wrap my furniture, but none of that wound up being necessary, as the movers were fully prepared with their own furniture pads and wrappings.I would whole heartedly recommend NVL to anyone considering a small apartment cross-country move, and would engage their services again if the need arose. Thank you to everyone who helped make my move as easy as possible.

We moved from California to Pennsylvania, and got a quote from another moving company that, unknown to us, contracted the job to National Van Lines. When they showed up in PA, our mattress was strapped to the back of the truck because there was no room inside. It was wrapped in plastic, but very poorly, so the mattress was completely soaked through from rain and unusable. We had to buy a new one. There was an item that had fallen out of a box that came open, and when I found and unpacked the box later, several items were missing, including a $400 camera. There were other damaged items as well. In order to make a claim, I was told that we couldn't move the items agai, but this was not possible since we first moved into a rental while escrow closed on our house. So now we're just screwed and I have no way of getting my items back, some of which were extremely sentimental.

James our driver was very responsive. All the movers did the best they could with the time they had. The initial estimate of how long it would take to pack our house was way off. They thought it would take 3 guys one day. It wasn't even close. The 3 guys had to come back for another half day to finish. Their should have been 5 guys. We haven't unpacked everything yet so i can't speak to quality of packing. Barely half the boxes had the markings or stickers I requested so it's difficult to find things. The box I requested to come off the truck first has yet to be found.
