general Manager was very rude.! He seems like he doesn't want to do his job. I reserved a truck online and was told I couldn't pick it up, due to other customers coming for it. I made the reservation and was still denied a truck.

I had made a one way reservation (pickup at one uhaul drop at another) show up to pick it up and the reservation was "never scheduled" even though it showed in their system. Sent me to another location; picked up the uhaul there but the "new" reservation made by the broadview location was round trip not one way. Fighting with customer service to not get charged double the rate I was given because I returned to a "different" location according to their system.

Where do I begin? I made a reservation over the phone and the person on the line was very cordial and nice. (Give that 4-5 stars). Scroll to last 2 paragraphs for summary. When I arrived for the scheduled pick up, it seemed very short staff - the front desk guy was nice, but being tugged in all ways with helping one other customer. As soon as I was helped, they made me walk through 2ft deep snow to FIND THE TRUCK, and I didn't receive a truck since they couldn't pull it out due lack of snow plowing and shoveling. So I waited while they went and figured out a solution (mind you I have scheduled pick up times). They then proceeded to tell me they have to call the plowing company to get it plowed..... Already being late, I asked if I could use another truck and the front desk let me use a truck that one of their coworkers pulled in with. As soon as I get in the truck, it smelled like freshly smoke cigarettes (literally hotboxed before I got it). The front desk told me the prices don't change and I had to fill it up to the where the gas line was on the sheet given to me. When I get into the truck, the gas was already 2 lines below what was stated on the sheet... so I had to fill up for their coworker taking the truck for a joyride. After all this they charged me 25$ more than what was stated on the receipt, even after making me wait 30+ minutes for a truck, walk through 2ft deep snow to find the truck for them,, giving me a truck that was literally just hotboxed with cigarettes, and making me fill up gas for one of their coworkers joyrides before handed to me. This was LITERALLY THE WORST uhaul I've been to. For reference, Lincoln Park Uhaul, the people walked me through what's in the truck, pulled the truck up and gave 5 star worthy service. All in all I will not be using this uhaul location again, you can bet your last dollar that I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. (Would not even recommend to my worst enemy, because I'd just feel that bad for them) please avoid this place if you can.

Rented a 10ft. truck to move some furniture locally. The reservation process was seamless and we got the vehicle with no problem. It was clean and ran well. If you don't have moving equipment (Dolley, furniture pads, etc.) you can rent or buy it there or bring your own. They charge a flat rate for the truck and then a separate charge for mileage. The customer service we received was great. The employees were very helpful. Bringing the truck back was also a breeze. They check the vehicle in, let you know the number of miles used and provide you with your final bill. Will definitely use again if I need to rent a truck or van. F.Y.I.- Mileage rates are cheaper if you rent during the week as opposed to the weekends.

I have to say this location is the best I have been to. There are a lot of shady smaller u haul dealers but this location is legitimate, well stocked, and helpful. I have switched from the Bellwood location to this location and am satisfied. Friendly and competent staff.

My guy rented a van here for moving. Reserve online in advance, and they will have the vehicle ready in a flash for you! The vans were all super new and nice too! They charge a daily rate plus per mile, and you have to return the van with a full tank of gas, so that can add up quickly for the final bill (I think a two day rental was around $100 with the milage rates), but its still cheaper than hiring movers! They will charge you extra for any damage to the vehicle- our van had a hilariously placed piece of gum coming out of the van model's nose... I was worried that we might be charged for that vandalism, even though it wasn't us, but I wasn't about to touch someone else's booger gum! Thankfully, we were not dinged on that. The site has multiple sizes of vans and trucks. They also sell packing boxes, bubble wrap, etc inside. The store smells super smoky, but the guys were nice enough. Drop off was also easy, they just scan a few labels on the truck and your card gets charged. Easy peasy.

Great place, great service. Rented a 26' truck. They got me out of there quickly and on my way. When I returned it was 5 minutes to close but there were no complaints and I was processed quickly. The truck was a little beat up but that is to be expected with U-Haul. It's a moving truck, not a Bentley. Overall great experience.

I had the absolute worst experience with this location without even stepping foot in the building. I called for two things: getting a hitch installed on my vehicle, and renting a trailer for my move. The hitch I needed wasn't in stock and I needed it within a few days, so opted for express shipping. The shipping cost was charged to my credit card immediately which is understandable. While still on the phone, I decided to set up my reservation for a trailer. I was told that there were not any available at this location for the date I needed it, so she checked a few other locations that were near... Still nothing available. She took my card information again to hold a reservation and told me someone would call me when something became available. I later found out from a rep from a different location that her verbiage was not correct at all and I would in fact be guaranteed a trailer. While on this phone call, I missed a call from the hitch installer at Broadview. The message simply said, "I won't be able to do the install, please give me a call." When I return the phone call, he again says, "Yeah, I won't be able to do the install....." *insert awkward silence* yeah, I got that in the voicemail you left me. He then goes on, "I'll be on vacation next week," ok that's understandable, "and it's pretty difficult to install." Not understandable, so you just don't want to do your job because it's difficult? He then says he can refund the shipping that they've already charged to my credit card. Yes, do that! Overall, the phone call was very short and unprofessional. And I later found out, from a very helpful rep at another location, that there is supposed to be someone available at all times to install hitches. This other rep was also able to speak with their installer and confirm that they would be able to complete the install! Either way, even though I live right up the street in Broadview, myself and my family will never do business with the Broadview location in the future. Moving is already stressful, don't add to it by dealing with Broadview U-Haul! Very unprofessional and impersonal.

I called this morning in search of a truck for my in laws to travel to AR, and Anne was so helpful. She really took the time to answer all of my questions. The price was cheaper than other places, and I loved how I was offered prices for companies in AR to help them unload when they arrived. I am very happy with both my online and over the phone services U haul provided.

The employees at this U-Haul making the unpleasant experience of moving a bit easier. They were friendly, professional, and even gave me some great moving tips. I would definitely choose to rent here over the Harlem location from now on.

Renting a truck from here was a breeze. We purchased a shed for our yard and it would fit into my van. We checked for rental at Menard's and 75 minutes for $30 was not a bargain. I rented a cube truck and loaded it with the shed and additional plywood and had a lot of room to spare. I rented the truck online and pre-registered also, that made it EZ when I got to the store. I was driving out after 5 minutes and the cost was good and insurance was included, less than $50 for 10 hours of use. If I need a truck in the future I will be renting here again.

These guys were able to accommodate a screwed up order from the U-Haul near Harlem & 290 at the very last minute and the manager even told me he would speak to the manager at the other store to take care of their cancellation fee. I'm grateful that they were able to help and went out of the way to make sure everything went smoothly. These guys will actually help you, unlike some of the other stores.
