Big thanks to the Dave and Ron and the team at Advanced V-Tech. I brought my Toyota Camry in because the Check Engine light was on. They quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. They even went the extra mile and took my car to the IL Emissions Testing Facility and ensured that it passed the emissions test! Great job guys! It's a complete care auto shop doing a fantastic service. David and Ron two nice gentlemen explaining us the real picture of the diagnostics and suggesting the mandatory service or parts to be taken care now and advising the things which can be postponed .Cost effective and quality work shop.Had a worry free and nice experience.Sure will recommend friends.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement

Made an appointment for Saturday morning @ 8 AM in advance about 2-3 days in advance to be exact to get car battery replaced. I was told that the work would take about 2 hours. First of all, 2 hours for a battery replacement already sounds ridiculous. I got there just a few minutes before 8 just to make sure I’m not late. They took my car and I was asked if I’ll stay around and wait for it or come back after they call me when it’s ready. I chose to get myself a rideshare and get back home to get few things done. 11 AM still nothing. No calls to notify me if there are any issues or setbacks, so me being a worried customer have to call and check in if everything is okay. First phone call was not answered, called 5 minutes after they answered and told me that they just got the battery and they’ll work on it now and they’ll notify me when it’s ready to go. Finally, I get the call at 1:08 PM that the car is ready. 5 hours to get your car battery changed! I get back here to get my car, and there’s nobody at the front desk. Owner left the office to get lunch and workers inside the shop don’t care about anybody inside. Slow, dishonest, just terrible start of my Saturday. So what would have happened if I would have stayed in there and waited for my car?! All I got at the end was: it is what it is, sorry. 0/10 !

My wife and I have had all our cars serviced at Advanced VTech, most recently new brake pads and rotors on our 2020 Mercedes GLE 350 which would’ve cost significantly more at the dealership. We’ve always been satisfied with the repair work and cost but what we like most about Advanced VTech are the owners David and Ron - always friendly and honest rarely found at other repair shops. They will tell you upfront how long the repair work will take, how much it'll cost and not pressure you into unnecessary repairs; that said, I’m very fortunate to have found these guys and will never go anywhere else. Absolutely wonderful experience going to see Ron and Dave. I was driving through Chicago on a cross country trip and needed to get my car serviced. I found them online, and boy am I thankful I did. Both Ron and Dave were so easy to deal with, very honest and I am so happy with the work that was provided. Not only that -the service was done quickly as well. I would not hesitate to recommend vtech for anyone who needs a trustworthy place to get their car serviced. Thank you Ron and Dave!

My wife's car broke down on the highway a few miles away from Advanced VTEC on a Saturday afternoon with a transmission issue on an Infiniti SUV. They were one of a few options nearby that I could have it towed to. After a quick check of online reviews I had it towed here and I'm very glad I did. Dave called me shortly after letting me know they received it and when they would be able to look. He was honest, a good communicator, and very responsive. He gave me the right amount of information (cost, likelihood of success) to make the right decision and I could tell he cared about doing right by his customers. Ultimately the least expensive solution worked and the car is back running great again. I would definitely use them again in the future.

I work with both Ron and David. One of them is always available over the phone. Both are welcoming and friendly.They provide all necessary information, estimate, what should be done first and what can wait.There are 2 Toyotas in the household: Sienna 2006 and Corolla 2015. Each made 100K+ miles. We like the cars and would like to keep them as long as possible. Note that we did not invest much into the maintenance, nothing beyond oil change, new tires, rotation, cabin and air filters, and similar small things. My friend advised me to contact "Advanced VTech" for inspection.Both cars needed maintenance (one or more items from the following list): front suspension, timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, engine leakage fix, thermostat replacement, etc.Pretty much what I would expect with the given mileage.Price is reasonable, work is done in a timely manner, loaner car provided when needed.Have been using company's service since 2022.Services: Steering & suspension repair

EDIT: After inspecting my car closer, my passenger side window is full of chips, like someone went at it in anger. Considering Dave screamed at me on the phone before I came and get the car, I have a very strong suspicion he may have vandalized my car. These chips were never there before, and I would have noticed them as they're pretty numerous and large. I don't have any proof, since I wasn't there while the car was sitting at the garage, but I wouldn't put it past someone who is so easily enraged that he screams at a customer on the phoneCome here if you want to have your car sit for weeks, be lied to and screamed at. It seems like the biggest liability this place has is it's VP of operations, Dave. I took my car here to have some suspension and cooling issues addressed. Nearly a week passed and nobody had so much as even looked at the car. I call them on a friday and Ron (the co owner) tells me they will get to it saturday, or monday. I accept this and saturday comes and goes with no call. I go down there on monday to see if they are following through and it turns out they are closed. The last time I checked, the day before the 4th of July isn't a holiday. You think the owner of the business would have known that they were gonna be closed that day when he told me my car would be worked on monday. Either he has no idea what's going on with the business he runs, or he is lying to me so I don't go pick up the car and take it somewhere else.At this point, not only do I feel like they don't care about working on it, I am also feeling thoroughly lied to. I would understand not having a fully completed repair right away, but not even so much as looking at the car?The next day the shop is open after the holiday, I call them and Dave seems to know who's calling, but for some reason he thinks I'm a completely different car, which is laughable considering I went spoke to him in person twice at this point and we had talked in detail about my car. I tried telling him when I called friday, I was told the car would be looked at saturday or monday, and nobody told me they were closed monday except the sign on the door when I arrived. I cant even get the words out because Dave keeps on trying to interrupt me and say otherwise, as if that changes the fact I was told they'd get around to looking at it saturday or monday.I told him I was going to pick up the car because at this point it seems like they have no intention on working on it. Now, he is screaming at me over the phone to come get my car. Yes, screaming at me. Minutes later, I walk in to get my keys and I explain again that Ron told me the car would be looked at saturday or monday, and that it is dishonest to tell me they will look at the car on a day they're not even open. I can't even finish before Dave is screaming at me in front of the mechanic leaning on the desk.I keep on trying to say there wasn't even any indication other than the sign on the door they were closed monday, and Dave screams in my face that I am "FIRED AS A CUSTOMER" which is kind of a joke because they weren't even willing to find the time to diagnose my vehicle. What would I be paying them for as a customer if they don't care enough to do a single billable thing in regards to my car? He screams for me to get out of his shop, so I oblige and Dave FOLLOWS ME INTO THE PARKING LOT so he can continue screaming at me. After he was screaming at me, I do admit I cussed at him. I called him a liar and a d*uche and an embarrassment to the trade. Yes I did. These are all pretty natural reaction to being SCREAMED AT by someone who not only completely failed to do anything resembling a job but also lied to my face about what the garage had previously told me. This final escalation was the result of his behavior which started with screaming at me on the phone and ended with him screaming at me as he followed me into the parking lotI even had someone with me follow me into the office so I could have a witness to what transpir

Dave and Ron are exceptional business owners. They went to bat for me with my warranty claim and saved me over 5k. They kept me frequently updated and my budget in mind throughout the entire process. My entire family uses them and I couldn’t ask for a better local mechanic. Their guys in the shop are also great. Thank you for everything fellas.
