Took my dog in because his hair was falling out in clumps, he had skin irritation and was scratching like crazy. I thought it was a reaction to the vaccine he received a week prior. They told me he had a skin infection and charged me 122 for antibiotics and animax. Got home after 5 days of antibiotics it wasn't getting better and his fur was coming out worse. I decided to treat him myself so I started out by cutting his hair off only to find out that my poor baby was infested with fleas. It was so bad that I had to give him two doses of capstar, wash him with flea shampoo and spray him with the spray and Benadryl for the itching?

I've been using Banfield over 10 years. I like the staff, they really treat my boy well. They do all they can to get appointments according to my schedule.

The Wellness Plan is a scam, you pay a monthly fee for services, then you bring your pet in and get charged for services that aren't covered. This company is all about making money off of you and your pet. That being said, let's talk about the hours of operation. Better hope your pet doesn't get sick after 4:00 pm or before 7:00 am or on a Sunday. If they do you need to find an emergency clinic, which of course isn't covered in your wellness plan. If your pet does happen to get sick during Business Hours, I hope you have an appointment because chances are they won't be able to "fit you in" and they will send you to an emergency clinic. Do you see a pattern here? All that being said let's talk about the cold and uncaring staff. Be prepared to be ignored by at least 3 of the 4 office workers, when you do finally get recognized have patience and know that you will have to give your pet's name, your phone number, spell your name and your pet's name at least twice. GOD FORBID you begin to get aggravated because your pet is sick and needs help. The first sign of aggravation or even a raised voice will result in "leave now or we will call the police" be as cold and emotionless as them and you'll be fine. PS not saying anything, but speaking English as a second language and Spanish as a primary language will help you considerably in your dealings with the office staff.

I been calling since then more than 10x's Through the pet store and directly and no answer. receptionist answer once to put me on hold for 25 min just to be sent to voice-mail They never told me about my concerns my dog still has the rash and no answers were given. This does not have to do with the pet hospital itself! They have always took care of my dog. This has to do with the third party insurance.Do not get the pet insurance!!!! I've paid for 12 years and when I called to cancel because my dog is now deceased, they said I have a balance because he received services which I paid for at the appointment! When I asked for a supervisor, they said and I quote, they would have to send a request for a call back within 24/48hours and to speak with a supervisor immediately was not an option! Horrible, horrible experience. I would have stopped coming here if I knew that's how they're insurance company treats people!!!

Staff was able to answer questions that were thrown at them, without saying let me find out. Very respectful of my pet in form of handling and speaking.

I've been trying to get my cat nurtured for 2 months now, the "first" appointment was the 7th of January. They called me a few days before and told me I had to reschedule. So I rescheduled for February 16. I dropped my cat at 7:30, that was the time of the appointment. They called me back around 8:40 and told me that the doctor had an emergency and wouldn't be able to do the procedure. I've been patient with the staff but it's a waste of time. I don't recommend this place.

I always through Banfield was a great hospital, that cared for your pets, not sure anymore, Nov 26th took her for regular vaccine they were monitoring the umbilical hernia she have, Nurse said hernia had got bigger, that a doctor would call, to let me know if anything need to be did, if she need to have surgery, we had all her work up, already did, no one called, princess mom, called, tell her they will call back, have never called back, not for sure about them anymore.
