Driven Auto in Burbank is the go-to place if you’re looking to buy an EV. I purchased a Tesla Model S from them in 2023, and they took the time to explain everything about the car. At first, I was a little skeptical, thinking they might just be telling me what I wanted to hear to make the sale. But they gave me the full history of the vehicle, including the fact that the battery had been replaced with a brand-new one by Tesla.
When I later took the car in for routine maintenance, the mechanic confirmed that both the battery and the drive motor were brand new—not rebuilt—which made me feel even more confident about my purchase. Because of that great experience, I went back and bought another Tesla for my wife, and once again, the team at Driven Auto was transparent and informative about the vehicle’s history.
So far, both cars have been great. I would highly recommend Driven Auto to anyone looking for an honest and upfront experience when buying an electric vehicle.

I am very disappointed to share that I cannot recommend purchasing a vehicle from Driven Auto Sales. As a first-time buyer, my experience has caused unnecessary stress and significant financial burden.
In late August 2025, I purchased a 2018 Tesla Model X 75D. During my initial conversation with the salesperson, Nader, I requested the vehicle’s maintenance history. He stated that no history was available but assured me the inspection showed no issues and that the vehicle had a clean Carfax report.
After completing the paperwork, Nader mentioned he needed to air up one of the tires and was unsure if there was a leak. Within days, I had to inflate the tire repeatedly, prompting me to take the vehicle to a local repair shop. There, I was informed that the rear alignment was so severely off that it caused wires to protrude from the inner tread of both rear tires—an issue that should have been detected during inspection and disclosed prior to sale. I had both tires replaced immediately.
Shortly after, I received a notification on the dashboard indicating that my vehicle may not restart due to the low-voltage battery being overdue for replacement. I took the Tesla to the service center in Chicago, where they not only replaced the battery and performed a proper alignment but also discovered an issue with the battery heating component. Within just two months of ownership, these issues cost me thousands of dollars—expenses that could have been avoided if the vehicle had been properly maintained and disclosed.
When I contacted Nader to discuss these problems, his response was along the lines of, “Well, maintenance is a normal thing,” implying that these issues were acceptable to overlook before the sale. Tesla’s app also confirms multiple other maintenance services were long overdue. I was told another team member would follow up to help resolve the situation. I did miss a call from a local number that same day but received no voicemail. I subsequently returned two calls during business hours, leaving voicemails, but have received no response. The lack of communication and accountability throughout this process has been extremely disappointing.
Additionally, it was agreed that a Tesla charger would be included with the vehicle. Instead, I was sent home with a tow hitch in the trunk, which I did not request or need. This was only noticed after leaving the dealership, requiring me to wait for the charger to arrive by mail—another unnecessary inconvenience.
As a result, I am now stuck with a vehicle I no longer wish to own and am already financially upside down. Had these issues been addressed and disclosed prior to sale, I would have chosen a different vehicle.
