Yeah, it's run down, but they keep it clean, cool in the summer, warm in the winter. Slot machines for those that play. 21 only, minors not encouraged.
Don't worry about the folk out in the parking lot, I walk through there day and night, never had an issue, and there just isn't much to do in Cairo.
