River Oaks Center is a mall that is still holding on, though many find it so-so or quite empty with many stores closed and gone. Some feel it can be ghetto, especially on weekends. It lacks common stores typically seen in a mall. However, it is not crowded, allowing visitors to browse with ease. The center has a variety of shoe stores and many fragrance stores. It also features unique local businesses, including creative streetwear and exotic dancer clothing not found elsewhere. A watch repair kiosk is noted as great. While some major stores are hanging in there, the overall atmosphere is described as strangely nice and strangely chill, offering a refreshing change for those seeking something out of the ordinary. The facility itself is very big and most definitely clean.
The mall looks like the whole place is about to shut down. I was surprised to find a steppers set. Imagine a party in the mall. There was a deejay and everything! It was good to see the space being used for a fun afternoon/evening out.

Came to see what all the hoopla was about, and I must say the peach cobbler was very tasty. I can’t speak for the other eggrolls and tacos, therefore I can’t give a 5 star review.

River oaks is still standing. I almost look like they're closing, but they still have a lot of amazing stores still open.I just recently found out the person that owned fort city also owns river oaks.
