I don't know how I got forced to pay some other person's unit. I have sent a complaint and asked for a refund. I will say they are clean with their units.

I have finally got moved out of this place. I do not recommend this place unless you want to spend a small fortune on cockroach sprays and bombs, and deal with homeless people breaking into your unit and stealing your belongings. I thought things had been rearranged in my unit a cpl times but had dismissed it until I came by there one night when the gate was wide open and literally caught some female in there collecting a bag of my things like she was picking at Walmart! Had to call the police. The camera's DO NOT Work! I've filed a insurance claim so to the damage and contamination of a cock roach infestation, one of which I most certainly DID NOT HAVE when I got there. Ask about there 3rd party insurance providers phone number and call them to inquire about how many claims of vermin and stolen property claims American way storage on e.main St Carbondale IL has had before you go through the hassle I have.

I was trapped inside the facility and was unable to reach anyone after hours to help. The resources left for the police were limited and when i called back the next day they didnt even care and just kept saying they couldnt even see in the computer i had been there other than the camera showing i was trapped. thank goodness another unit holder showed up to get in, she let me out. bad facility and as soon as i can afford to move my things i will be. they want your money and dont care for your safety at all.

I had a scheduled move in day for 8/24 and a text from them confirming. Showed up on the 24th with a truck full of stuff to find the office closed, nobody answering the phone and the sales staff unwilling to help. Go anywhere else if you actually want service.

They cut our lock off & allowed someone else to store things in our unit & put on a new lock, even though we paid every single month. It was a total waste of money to have damaged belongings & have to go through it with management not having answers to why or unit had been tampered with or why there was water damage to our stuff. Also the units are infested with mice & rats. We literally threw everything we had to fight to get back away. Don't trust these people.

I repair and resale items on ebay so I went to this company inquiring about storage for my items. I did not want to keep them at home because I am running out a space. I wanted to expand and sale to the people. Well I went to this company, paid the down payment of 50 dollars for a vault and then had to wait three weeks before the storage vault was even unlocked. It gets worse. After three weeks, the storage vault was still not unlocked so I just requested my money back because this was a waste of my time. I am only one person. I am not a professional reviewer but thought that experience was worth sharing. Go through this company and you may waste three weeks of your time for nothing like I did. This is not a reliable source for storage. Life is precious and should not be wasted. Need even more proof that my experience was real? The lock was red. Carbondale Self-storage said they would remove it but lied; for 3 weeks!

After sending emails and text messages to let the company know I had moved out of the unit. Per Andrew I had to send the storage facility a email picture of the unit once I have moved out. I verbally reread him back the email address to send the photos. Then the email comes back as wrong while I'm being harassed for late charges on a unit I no longer rent from them. After I had to get City Hall involved to get access to my unit. Hopefully they will stop billing me and making me jump through hoops. Either to get my items and stop the extra monthly lock fee. Or to stop giving me the run around when I'm trying to close my account and go about my way. Please discontinue contacting me in regards to unit A 31-1.Please do not say this was a billing issue which will cause for me to put a copy of the paid receipt.

Please do business at a more reputable establishment. Per new management I would be able to access my unit. After waiting since December 2021 for management to respond back to my request.Upon arrival to my unit the padlock is still on my unit in addition to the outside security lock has been cut off. Management has yet to even alert their customers that they have taken their lock off. Save yourself the undue stress of dealing with this company. They are a complete nightmare.
