Today I went to the closest store to my home to get some puzzle books and a novel to read on the train. There was some pool and garden supplies on the sidewalk with a sign saying 70% of green dot. Not a single item had a green dot on it. I picked up three seed starting trays regularly priced for $6 from the table of 70% off garden supplies. I go in the store to get the things I wanted. At the register, the woman in front of me was buying some of the pool supplies that were 70% off. They rang up for 50% off. The poor kid who was the only worker in the store was apologizing for the error and even called the manager from his cell phone. She had him remove the items that were not marked correctly and had other issues with sales signs. My seed starter trays also rang up 50% off and the poor guy was not able to adjust the price even with the signs clearly showing 70% off for pool and garden since they didn’t have any green dots. I checked again as I left and there were still 70% off signs taped to the racks but nothing had a green dot. I stopped shopping at Dollar General for more than a year because of the poor service and conditions of the stores. I feel bad for the people who work in your stores. Bad customer service experience sucks for your workers and your customers. Do better. Chxx-Fil-A has a loyal following of customers because people know every time they visit, they can expect great customer service! Be better to people who spend their time and money in your store!

The Cashier is extremely rude and has a bad disposition. When I would go into that store, at check out, I'd tell her thank you, she never respond. She heard, I would repeat myself. Jackie is rude and not friendly or polite at all.Once again her name is Jackie.

This dollar general has a worker who constantly put himself down talks about killing himself and complains about customers coming in. It has gotten to the point my wife had to walk out before she snapped on him. I myself don't like the atmosphere created by him the biggest problem is for some unknown reason not one time has a coworker or manager corrected him. Honestly it would be best for you avoid going to the Dollar General on Ramada Ln In Carbondale.

Would give zilch stars. Was charged twice on my debit card, after the cashier had me run my card five times bc system was "messed up". I showed them my receipt. Time stamp. Online bank account. They couldnt do anything about it. They had me call corporate and waiting for that call. Now will call my bank for fraud alert. Trying to get $28.90 back on my card. Will be calling the BBB also.

Dollar General on New Era Rd in Carbondale IL is a total disaster! Nothing is organized and the floors are full of merchandise that has been thrown on the floor!! I've been to many yard sales that were more organized!!They need a new manager that can actually "manage" the store!!! No stars!!!
