Nic is the best. He's been my barber for a while now and I'd be hard pressed to go anywhere else. Very reasonable rates. Easy-going and friendly. He gives a great cut and has never steered me wrong with advice. Highly recommended.

Nick has been the best stylist I’ve had in a decade, and as good or better as anyone I’ve ever had work on my hair. The gentle hair color he uses has made a difference in the health of my hair. He never forgets to ask what I want in my haircut, and I currently receive more compliments on my hair color and cut than I’ve received in years. I see him every 5 weeks and he is consistently good, every time, without fail.

Highly recommend Fringe! Nic has been coloring my hair for 8 years and it's been a consistently great experience! I moved around before settling in Southern Illinois and was used to paying alot and driving to other cities to get the quality I wanted. My hair is very long, so my appointments take alot of Nic's time and energy, but his rates have consistently been more than fair and the quality is top-notch. Here's to another 8 years!

Nic is the best hair stylist I've ever been to. His level of talent is unparalleled in the area. My hair highlights are always fabulous and adds the body I need to my thin hair so styling it on the daily is a breeze - he knows his craft extremely well. Nic is incredibly professional and knowledgeable in his craft. He’s done hair, travelled with major salon quality product companies doing hair, and owned his own hair salon for years. He’s one of the best hair stylists in our area and one of a handful who respect and are intimately aware of his profession as a form of art. He eats, sleeps, and breathes his craft and will bend over backwards to make sure you are satisfied with your service.

Nic is a great stylist. I moved to Carbondale from Fort Lauderdale FL in 2013. I asked friends for salon recommendations. I tried them all and could not get a good haircut until I stumbled into Fringe The Salon on Illinois Ave. I have thin straight hair and it’s difficult to cut it so that it has body and motion. I’d stack Nic’s skill up against anyone I saw in expensive salons in Florida.
