Blah.Went to the larger Kroger in Carbondale for the first rimeI had been going to MytohysburoNow I understand why I haven't been using the bigger. Their employees are miserable.Their manager, is beyond rudeHere's my short experienceDropped in with my mother who lives separately, and my nieceWe all live in different households, but we shop together to save on gas I put some 12 packs in my cartSo did my motherUpon checking out, I had ten, it said limit 8 and I genuinely missed that noticeSo I bought the eightAnd my mother said, toss the two extra in my cart. The second she did the cashier called the manager. The manager took them out, stating there is a limit of eightMy mother said that's fine, I'll buy the two extra. The manager then literally TOOK them away to the service counter.Stating it's a limit eightMy mother protested stating she was under eight(And I just started in disbelief as this was going on over two 12 packs of orange crush)The manager said in a bitter and very rude declaration. It is eight per householdShe began to state she lived IN A DIFFERENT HOUSEHOLDThe manager walked away mid sentenceSo congratulations Kroger. We could have been the newest Soda Robbers of Southern IllinoisUs, with our criminal mastermind plan to outwit your company of two twelve packs of diet orange CrushThe big plan of getting ten instead of eight. Thank God you thwarted our plans.Meanwhile, my mother's cart full of about 145.00 in groceriesAnd my cart of 165.00And my nieces of 205.00?The last time you'll get out business.Better get those Wanted Posters printed about the three Carbondale Carbonation Bandits for the other grocers to be warned about.

Kroger is taking advantage of consumers! Soda went from approximately $1.39 to $2.49 for a 2L bottle in less than a week! No excuse for over a 100% increase in less than a week! Other than you want to take advantage of Consumers! Never Kroger, never shop there!Inflation is not an acceptable excuse for over 100% in less than a week!

They have no respect for there employees. They treat them like dirty I have spoken to several of them and they have said how they felt like the whole Kroger industry is forcing them to feel as if they should quit giving them terrible hours and or making them look and feel like under trash. Many of the works who have worked there for many years still don't have any seniority and are treated worse then the younger staff. They give them no benefit and expect them to be to there full potential.

The women that work at this place might be the most racist people ever seen. They were giving me dirty looks the moment I walked into the store and they made this one blonde girl follow me around the store... y'all know what you were doing! Absolutely blows my mind that you allow hateful people work at this place.

The manager of the store came up to me and my brother and told us we had to put on masks but did not ask people around us to put them on. Thanks for ruining my day! You just lost a loyal customer.

Ruined my daughter's first birthday party. We specially asked for mint green cupcakes with white or yellow cake a while back. The day of her gathering, they call and state that they only had chocolate cake. I obliged and said okay but make sure the icing is mint green. They told me they would call me to let me know when the cupcakes were ready. Never got a call. I went to go pick them up, the cupcakes were Ninja Turtle green. Now as for her cakes, they got them wrong wrong wrong. I asked for baby blue cakes. We got white iced cakes with yellow, turquoise, and hot pink piping. I will NEVER purchase from there bakery again. Then when my husband told them that the order was wrong, they told him that there was nothing they could do. As a first time mom, you want things to be perfect but I guess the Kroger bakery wants to do what they want to do and doesn't care about your request or the money you spend to create a nice event.

No way does Kroger get a 4. They are just like every other store in Carbondale--- subpar to the other Kroger's I've visited in North Little Rock AR. The seafood (crablegs) are NEVER de-thawed which leads to me spending more money for ICE since it's weigh by the pound. The customer service line is always really slow, they should think about having 2 ppl up there at all times OR having a cashier as a back up person that can hop on when the lines gets long - Also the store managers talk to her employees like crap- I've literally heard her talking to them and putting the dead of Jesus in them.
