Definitely the best pedicure I’ve ever gotten in Carbondale (which is almost all of them). The technician (?) went above and beyond. Possibly because it wasn’t busy and she had the time, but still. I know she did more than I paid for, and took her time on the massage and exfoliation and the polish itself. They look great! Another positive thing: I’m always slightly annoyed after pedicures that they seem to start the paint out a bit from your cuticles, which I assume is so you’ll have to come back sooner when it grows out faster. It feels manipulative and like you’re not getting your money’s worth. She didn’t do that. She painted the WHOLE nail, all the way to the cuticle, then cleaned it up so it looks perfect. First time ever that I’ve had that happen. They really seem to care about their customers’ satisfaction. Will definitely be back!

Awesome experience, wanted to treat my girl so came here for her first ever manicure and pedicure. Got the deluxe and with Melody was the most efficient and well done mani/pedi I've ever seen. Was hoping it wouldn't take too long and it didn't! Was in at 6pm and out by 7:30pm. I was hungry for dinner so this was great. My girl got thermal color-changing nails and all for a very reasonable price. She was very pleased.

- Good initial quality but nails lifted in a week- Terrible scheduling & availability- Seems to stop caring about customer service after a good reviewThe 1st time I visited this salon, there was a scheduling issue w/ one of the acrylic artists. I booked online last minute & the system allowed this, even though the artist had already left for the day.It was not a scheduling issue due to any kind of emergency or legitimate problem -- the artist just wanted to leave. This would have been no issue had the artist closed the schedule, but they didn't and I don't think it's professional to charge someone & send them away empty-handed due to a mistake on their part.When I asked to please elevate the situation to a supervisor or suggested I was considering leaving a Google review of my experience, the salon's demeanor changed. They went out of their way to fix the issue & the owner drove in on her day off to do my nails. I was initially very impressed.But when I expressed satisfaction at the end of my service, I was told that I "better" leave that in the review & that she would be looking for it. This made me highly uncomfortable but the nails looked good & she'd worked hard, so I planned on leaving a great review & did.Unfortunately, the nails lifted in a week, which was frustrating at the highest prices in town. While the price felt worth it initially due to the skill of the artist, it definitely would not be if it had to be redone every week.I managed to get an emergency appointment to get them fixed & paid the deposit. There was a snowstorm that night, but I live close and was able to walk there even though the lot was barely plowed & not a lot of people were out at the time.I tried the door but it seemed locked & I didn't see anyone inside. I assumed they had closed for the day due to weather. So I returned to the salon the day of my scheduled refill 2 weeks later & the owner informed me that I was very late to that appointment. I saw that I was only six mins late, but it turns out the artist had a different appointment time than me -- her schedule said 15 mins earlier, making me ~22 minutes late.I showed her the appointment on my phone, but she barely looked. She seemed to suggest there was an error on my part, but it was her scheduling system that automatically booked the appointment. I never set the appointment in the 1st place & couldn't have set the time any differently.She offered to still do my service & I explained that I should have a $30 credit from the missed appointment for inclement weather. She said the salon was never closed & that she was there all day. We were at odds -- I thought she was closed & she thought I never came, both of which weren't true.I tried to consider other possibilities -- the door is heavy & you have to pull hard & that could have made it seem locked. I also wondered if they had perhaps stepped in the back for a moment at the same time I arrived in an unfortunate coincidence, but she was adamant that someone was in the front every second of that day.I thought this was rather impossible & that it was very plausible the front was empty for the <10 seconds it took me to walk up, try the door, & walk away, but she did not. She swore no bathroom or lunch breaks were needed at any point the entire day.The owner made me feel so terrible that at one point, I actually asked her if she thought I was lying. She seemed to have made up her mind before I even got there & my honest explanations fell on deaf ears. She didn't care what reasoning I had, & I believe in part that's because she'd already secured the good review.She said she would not be refunding the $30 deposit & refused to give any sort of leeway for the severe weather, the heavy door that has no sign, or any sort of misunderstanding.I declined to have the service performed, because by the end, I felt so gaslit & hurt that she treated me like some kind of scammer. My daughter got acrylics and I believe her name was Melody or Melanie, but she did a fantastic job!! She was very nice, very helpful and super accommodating. Great service and great prices!

Mediocre at best Lauren books out for weeks in advance and is the only one with experience in designs Melody will criticize your cuticles every time even when you tell her you have chronic health issues that impact such things, she will try to convince you to do patterns or colors you don't like, even after you say no she'll put the color you hate on your nails - she doesn't do designs and I've seen her struggle with STICKERS on multiple occasions She charges everyone different amounts as if a discount makes up for being manhandled and having your fingers sliced open by the edge of her files After a few years with her, I will not be returning, I have had enough with being disrespected and having my preferences ignored

Lauren is thee best in the area with eyebrows! I always go to her. Please see the photo below. I went Veronica for a trim and I have very curly hair. She did a great job, framed it to my face, and my hair has never felt better! If you are looking for a pedicure book with Melody, it’s such a relaxing experience and she is very kind.
