About Carlyle Lake Dam West Campground
The Carlyle Lake campground is a clean park with huge sites and electric only hook up. Every site has a firepit, picnic table and water at the entrance and scattered throughout the park. Attendants are exceptionally friendly and helpful, keep the place orderly and the restrooms and shower houses clean. Most sites are first come first served, while a few can be reserved. The campground is along Carlyle Lake and has a breathtaking look of the lake. People are a comfortable community, nice people and a super clean place. The area is 1 hour from saint louis. Shade is little but the site still has a nice place to relax and camp. People return whenever they are in the area.

Great Campground! Clean restrooms, free warm showers, friendly hosts, close to the water, many friendly bugs(midges) (like turn your lights off - so many bugs, haha). We stayed in spot 91 for starlink and to be out of the breeze. The water spots seemed a little more windy.

Saw the bathrooms/ showers being cleaned, the playground being cleared of debris and the play equipment being wiped down. Fire grates were cleaned off. This was well taken care of
