“I love living here. There are three different types of buildings to choose from. I live in the one with underground parking. It's fantastic for the kids. It's fun and safe. The excellent elementary school is a 12-14 minute walk away, or you can take the school bus. The middle school is also good. The new management is making improvements for residents. Our complex is changing for the better.”

Pretty spacious for a one-bedroom. I live on the third floor and the view is nice facing the city.

Throughout the day/night, you can hear the cars and any noise on the street, but I dont mind that at all. Just something to note if thats something you would.

“UPDATED (5/12/26) Leasing office is great, specifically Traci - she addresses your concerns and has put a great effort into making this complex better since we have moved in; new gym, new hallways, and pool upgrades. We have appreciated her taking in our concerns & working with us. The only thing to look out for is the extra fees on top of rent - specifically the parking & wifi fees are very pricey, over $300 to park two cars (170$ per car) & 100$ per month for internet, 75$ amenity fee, but they do chat with you about that prior to signing your lease, just make sure you take note that your 2k rent will look more like 300-600$ extra per month. But overall, we enjoy the amenities a lot & the location is unbeatable. I would recommend this complex to anyone looking for good amenities & a great location in downtown Wheaton!!!”

“I’ve been living here at the Preserve at Cantera for 9 months now and feel I can speak to how great my experience has been over time. My experience with Malia, Christine, Mandy and Sherri in the leasing office has been wonderful from my original leasing process through to today. They are knowledgeable, helpful and kind every time and it’s a joy to know them! I have also had great experience with the Maintenance staff. Though I’ve had only a few minor problems to even report for fixing, Jay and Diego have always responded within a few hours to investigate and repair my issues. It’s also important to say that the maintenance staff fixed my issues properly the first time and problems solved. Lastly, I have found my new community to be a safe and fun place to live. I have lovely neighbors in my building and nearby! I have found the Preserve at Cantera to truly be a “community” that I’m glad to be a part of. There are events and groups that are available to join and I love that I could be a part of the gardening group! I’ve made new friends and shared the fun of growing vegetables for all the community to share in and enjoy. My experience has been perfect for me and I’m happy to be here.”

“I am surprised by some of the latest reviews on here. Our experience has been a diametric opposite of what they have said... so take a grain of salt with some of them.

I'll speak from our own experience. We have been living here for several months... all with the new management. They have been incredible to deal with. Extremely flexible and patient. They have been very responsive to issues that we have had. Even when we felt like we needed to switch apartments mid lease they bent over backward to accommodate us. If there are any issues, if you communicate with either Samatha or Jeet they are incredibly kind and willing to hear you out and do everything they can to help. They make living here great. Management can make or break an apartment experience... they make it great.

Accommodations are great. Not cheap stuff.. you can tell they really took time to make sure the amenities in the communal areas are quality and the space is worth spending time in. There are a ton of cool residents here who watch football together and hang together... a major plus.

Apartments are beautiful and well maintained. They entry system works great and is easy to let friends in without having to shlep downstairs. WE GOT TWO FOBS WITH OUR APARTMENT **cough other reviews are wrong cough** and it's been super easy to live with.

Maintenence crew is great. They are always working on the building keeping it up. Parking lot it safe and well maintained.”

“Luxury living in a beautifully maintained community. 2025/26 renovations of our fitness center, clubhouse, pool deck furniture and building retreat area! “I absolutely love living in this complex! The staff is amazing and makes you feel like family. Courtney and Jessica in the front office are so helpful and work very hard! The maintenance is on top of their stuff and get things done as quick as they can. The hospitality is on point!! I’ve lived other places in this area and this is by far the best!! The pool is great and the dog park is perfect. Very little dogs so you can use it privately most of the time. I renewed my lease and look forward to the next year here.”

“This five-star review is specifically for David and Mike on the maintenance team. When my heat stopped working late yesterday, David came out after hours to try to fix it. He stayed as long as he could working through the issue before explaining that he needed to get parts and would return in the morning. While he was here, he also discovered a leak in my water heater.

As promised, David returned the next morning with Mike, and they had my apartment fully up and running before noon. Both were kind, professional, and thorough. They also made sure to clean up any mess and even wiped down my floor before leaving.

“I moved to Iron Gates in May and must say that after a few minor complications with the lease everything else has been great. It’s very clean, quiet, and cozy. Maintenance is always on top of it whenever there is something that needs their attention. Big shoutout to Courtney, he’s always super friendly, polite and quick to fix whatever issue there is.”

“My first impression as I drove into the Arbors of Glen Ellyn was how nicely and tastefully the property is kept—from the tall trees to the thoughtful landscaping. It felt warm and welcoming.

When I parked, I noticed the spaces were wider than most I’ve experienced. I appreciate having room to open the car door wide and get in and out easily, which already had me smiling as I walked into the office. Inside, I was greeted with smiles and friendly hellos from the staff. They are professional, patient, and personable—easy to talk with and ready to answer questions.

After touring the property with its many amenities and seeing the model apartment, I knew this was where I wanted to make my new home. I was given a checklist to note anything that might need attention. I found only a couple of minor things, and within days the maintenance team arrived and fixed the issues. They did excellent work and were a pleasure to chat with—like meeting new friends.

As I was emptying boxes and settling in, I noticed how quiet the neighborhood is. Out my windows are those tall trees, green lawns, and beautifully landscaped areas. I’m glad I chose the Arbors of Glen Ellyn for my new home, and I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming community.”
