Absolutely unacceptable experience. This Verizon franchise store operates in a completely unprofessional manner and appears to engage in illegal and deceptive sales practices.
Employees omit Verizon policies, pressure customers into adding unnecessary extra lines, and aggressively upsell products purely to increase commissions. Changes are made without properly verifying or checking in with the actual account holder, not even verifying the ID of the person they’re working with, and services are presented as mandatory when they are not.
Only after leaving do you realize you’ve been signed up for things you never requested or authorized. This behavior is misleading, unethical, and potentially illegal. It reflects poorly on the Verizon brand and should be investigated.
Avoid this franchise location at all costs and deal directly with a corporate Verizon store or Verizon customer support instead.
To top that off the store manager is extremely rude, asking improper questions, and making assumptions about the customers.

If I could give them a less star I would. Horrible customer service! Walked in to get help on my phone that is not working and the guy in there doesn't seem to know what hes doing. Not communicating with me but helping others there. After sitting there for 15 minutes and nothing getting done I decided to walk out. Might consider going to another phone company tbh.

Working with John at the VZ store in Wheaton was great. Very helpful, transparent and knowledgeable.
Update: Turned out that John was a crook and stole trade-in phones and sold them on the side. VZ customer service informed me that this happened dozens of times to dozens of customers. The franchisee/store owner took no accountability and provided zero recourse or reimbursement. In fact, he dodged the issue prolonging any reimbursement to me.
2 years later, despite 10+ calls to VZ corporate and the store, neither Verizon nor the store have reimbursed me $350 for my phone trade in. This store closed a few months ago, and I later learned that this was a franchise not corporate owned store. From now on, I will no longer go to franchise stores.

Mark went out of his way to help me switch to Verizon phone, internet, and streaming. I am immensely impressed with both mark and Eduardo who took over helping me when Mark had to leave for an appointment. I would recommend them to anyone!
