I have stayed at the 1890 Sleepover twice now and I have fallen in love with it, and Casey, Illinois. The rooms are super cool and unique, and the service is wonderful and accommodating. I live in Missouri and have family back east so Casey, IL. is a convenient stopover on my way home and I have incorporated the 1890 Sleepover into my regular itinerary. Last time I went with one of the Harry Potter-themed rooms, and it was amazing: cool referneces and a winding staircase! The small town of Casey is fun, with all the "largest this and largest that" scattered all over the roughly 4 square blocks that is the downtown. The diner across the street puts on a decent breakfast, and the walleye sandwich would be worth ordering again. I look forward to going back to the 1890, hopefully this holiday season. Obviously I cannot recommend this place enough!

What a cool place to stay at in a quaint little town! This nostalgic hotel is a must-stay-in if you are passing through Casey, Illinois. The room was awesome. Our kids loved it and didn't want to leave! Everyone in the town was so friendly, and there are so many cool things to see, places to shop, and great food to eat!

My very favorite place to stay… And the price is right as well! The rooms are spacious and adorably decorated! The towels are SO SOFT AND THICK!! To die for! Comfy beds and pillows!Breakfast vouchers are available lol for the lovely little breakfast café around the corner! Whittling Wimsy!Rooms: The rooms are tastefully decorated, and have interesting and unique features in each one!The Harry Potter room is a must see!But the others are just as cute and ours had a little twist…Small folded pieces of paper, pushed into the antique bricks in the wall! Each slip of paper had a cute story or a riddle written by the previous vacationers! Such a fun place to be! Definitely family friendly!Put it on your bucket list… The 1890s sleepover in Casey Illinois-A small town with big things!Nearby activities: Casey is the small town with big things! They have the worlds biggest rocking chair, the worlds, biggest wooden shoes, the worlds, biggest, Pokémon ball, the worlds, biggest… Well, the list goes on and on!My favorite? The world‘s biggest mailbox where you can climb the stairs up through the mailbox post and stand inside at the open, mailbox door for photos!Safety: Everything appeared quite stable and well rehabilitated from to original 1890s condition.Fun place to visit! Both in our 50s, my friend and I walked throughout the beautiful well little town till well, after midnight without a worry in the world! It’s the small town with the big things! And it was so much fun that we couldn’t help but keep walking Until we were able to see them all! At no time while we were there, did we feel in the least bit unsafe!Walkability: The sleepover building has lots of stairs! Active kids will love it along with adults who are young at heart, and in good enough shape to walk, 20 steps or more to the second floor. There is an outside elevator, if needed!Food & drinks: Vouchers are available for breakfast at the Whittling Whimsy! (A lovely diner with a nostalgic twist!) Don’t forget to visit Richard’s Farm Restaurant! An amazing example of 18th century architecture that has been lovingly preserved, maintained, and improved over the years! Delicious food and friendly, enthusiastic staff!Noteworthy details: The Harry Potter room is adorable and includes a spiral staircase and loft beds!!! Small kitchens In several rooms!

What a great little hotel! We went riding at Lincoln Trail and wanted to stay the night and check out the town. The hotel was super clean, the sheets smelled great and it had such a cute vibe. I honestly had some of the best sleep ever and I messaged the staff curious what kind of mattresses they had. They couldn't remember off the top but went and looked at their purchases to let me know. Nonetheless, I'm ordering the same mattress. We plan on staying there the next time as well and would definitely recommend!

Quaint and we'll maintained. If you're here as a stop on a longer trip and decided to see the world's biggest mailbox and rocking chair as a fun side thing, this place is for you. Everything is in walking distance and easy to get to. I was in room 204 and it was really cute, bed super comfortable and while I couldn't control the temperature of my room, it was perfect to sleep.Only recommendation I have, but doesn't detract from the stay, is that check in was view text and parking area wasn't clear, so that caused me a little confusion. However, my stay was Sunday into Monday, so that might not be everyone's experience.Bottom line-definitely recommend.

We were only able to stay one night as we breezed through town but it was the most beautiful and unique hotel we've stayed at! The older architecture mixed with new age additions was so beautiful. And while we arrived too late to interact with any of the staff, we received quick text communication about our stay and what to expect. And the room was clean and ready! If we ever come through again, we will absolutely be booking at this hotel.

Best location to stay in heart of the really cool Casey IL. Rooms are spacious comfortable and the original parts of building was saved. High ceiling, exposed brick and original floors. Bathrooms are well vented so no steam bath when trying to get ready after shower. Tastefully decorated and very clean. Bed and bedding was like being at home. Pillows were awesome. Microwave and fridge was great.Staff attentive to detail. Easy checkin. Loved our 24 hours in Casey and this sleepover was the best.

We just had a 24-hour vacation over Labor Day and this was a great hotel for us to stay in. We could walk everywhere of interest. Our kids loved the loft and the room was big enough for all 7 of us. We'll definitely stay here if we come again.

Had a great stay in room 205! Nice cold room, lovely smelling towels, great shower, comfy bed and great views of the little town from a fabulous corner room. I could go on, but if you are planning a trip and need a room you should stay and see for yourself. You won't regret it!Nearby activities: Everything big is right outside your door.

An accident on the highway brought my 88 yr old parents and I to Casey, IL - on the way to a family reunion in Oklahoma. After such a harrowing experience, being able to stay in such a lovely, unique hotel was wonderful. We couldn't even drive anywhere and Sleepover was just across the street from where our vehicle was towed. The place is spotless, charming and we lucked out as someone left early allowing us the only room in town available. The owners are amazing and the town of Casey is a place I'd come back to under better circumstances for sure. The town is quintessential, small town with a updated twist - so friendly.

We had limited exposure with the staff, but they were very friendly and helpful. The room was very unique. It was comfortable and enjoyable. It was right at the top of the stairs, and you could hear everyone going up and down. It did not affect our sleeping at all. The room temperature was perfect.Breakfast is not provided, but they provide a $10 voucher for the restaurant across the street (Reflections Restaurant) and their breakfast was great. We would recommend

Absolutely beautiful stay! They allowed me to check in quite late despite not really having an overnight checkin process. The room was set up so beautifully and it was incredibly clean. And to top it all off my breakfast and coffee at Casey Coffee Company just down the road was fantastic paid for with my breakfast voucher from my stay at Eighteen-Ninety Sleepover. I would absolutely stay again anytime I am passing through this area!

This little gem is just about as perfect as they come.We booked room 306 and it was a delight. The room was spacious, clean comfortable and close enough to walk anywhere downtown. The owners were fabulous and so nice.I give this a 10/10. We will definitely be back. I especially love the nostalgia of the train going by. If you want a hotel go there- if you want an experience stay here.
