My check engine light came on just days before taking a road trip. I took it to their service center in cedarville, illinois, so they could scan it and tell me what the problem was. They literally called me with all kinds of problems and a quote of over $4000 to fix it. I decided to take my car back and took it to an actual chevy dealer ( as my car is a chevy) and when they scanned it, none of those problems came up with the exception of possibly needing to replace my tire sensors. I feel like they were trying to take me for a very large amount of money because i'm a woman and I don't know anything about cars. Thank goodness I took it to an actual chevy dealer instead of just telling them, " oh okay, go ahead and fix it" will never take my car to them again!

TERRIBLE SERVICE! My truck has been in and out for almost two months with this shop. It was taken in for a few different things. One of them being a big leak from under my passenger DASH. After they told me they did several attempts to seal the windshield and still having a leak, they sent it to their collision center which they found to be my blower motor sucking in water from a car wash. It was never the seals i thought I was charged for. I tried to get a refund on my seal since it wasn’t the issue. No calls back. I was leaving messages for nearly 2 weeks before I went to upper management. All to find out they changed a seal in my door that is not even close to where I was having a leak. They never called to approve such work/seal on the door. Never even told me they changed the door seal or even put what type of seal on the invoice. They completely lied to my face. They were also to repair a tire sensor that is still on after getting it back for the 5th time. They will not refund my money. I highly recommend NOT GOING HERE. Terrible customer service and treatment to someone who has bought one of your vehicles. Filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They lie to get your money! I’m out $200 just in parts. Doesn’t include the labor. Take your vehicle elsewhere!

I went to get my tire plugged last Saturday. A week later the same tire was low. They were closed and I had to go somewhere else. The mechanic who looked at it said the patch wasn’t even covering the hole . They could not fix it because it was a different kind of patch. I had to buy a new tire. I called Barkau up and asked if they could reimburse me, I was told no. I asked if they could repatch the hole and they said they could but would charge me again. I am very disappointed, my family has gone to Barkaus since they opened. My Dad was friends with the owner.Service: Tires

I am a 63 year old woman. Went in for key fobs. Short story, i was very upset over what happened. Go to have something fixed and get call it is completely broke upon them pulling car into garage. When returning to get my car without fixing, I was asked if i was a mechanic,because i didnt want to hear there excuses. Joe proceeded to argue with me in my face and men in office just sat there and pretended not to hear. I had to leave it for repair as i couldnt drive it home. No quote or estimate on price of repair. When i returned with a family member due to joe argueing with me, and i got home i realized my house keys were off both key fobs. Joe was the one to take my payment!! Seriously!!! Never again!!! Had to change all locks in my house.

I stopped in early in the morning, as I had a blowout the night before. I had a long trip the next day and was hoping that they could fix it for me. He told me he had 60 cars scheduled that day, and he would try to fit me in. Later, I got a call that my car was ready. And they gave me an oil change too. Awesome people. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
