While trying to complete arrangements to close an account because our father died, these folks are terrible. Excuses, changing stories, lies and they absolutely will NOT return phone calls. Save yourself a lot of aggregation and do not bank here.

CIBM kept delaying our mortgage closing over and over again, not giving any reason or new dates and failing to communicate at every turn. We lost the house because of their actions. Its a shame because we are looking for a long term banking partner for our real estate portfolio. Stay away!

CIBM was an immense help in refinancing our home. They did the work getting paperwork together and emailing documents for signatures. They used our recommendation for a loan agent in our community which is 3 hours from their headquarters so we didn't have to make a long drive. My son was set to close on the sale of his house today, as well as the purchase of a new one. He had to have all of his stuff out of the old house by close which was set for this morning. A few days ago he was told everything was ready for the two closures. Yesterday, after 90% of his life was in the back of a Uhaul, he's told the CIBM lady handling the paperwork for his buyer failed to get all required documents completed; and was unreachable for a week prior. 4 days ago-EditDO NOT USE THIS BANKI banked with cibm for about 3 months now, and there are so many problems that you would have to deal with them. First off they close super early around 4pm which if you work and get off a little later in the afternoon, you would have no time to do whatever you need from them. Adding on to that, their atm cannot deposit money or checks only withdraw which is the most stupidest thing ive ever ontop of that checks that you deposit in wont show into your bank till the next day. Then the way you check your money through the app or online is even more stupid by the fact they give you this long banking id that you have to remember to sign into and check your account. The only way is if you get a paper from them that tells you this but the service is so unprofessional they forget papers so you would have to call them but like i said they always close early for some odd reason. Ontop of all this, it will not log you in when you put in your right information, and when you try to many times youll have to call customer service to reset your password. Then the funny thing is that when it tells you to enter new password and you put in the password that you use, it will say that your password cant be an old password. So it's like how wasnt i able to log in with the old password that i inputed which was correct, and its gonna tell me that my new password cant be existing. This bank is just unprofessional and lazy and the only reason why i banked with them in the first place is because my job at the time recommended me to it and ill get an extra 50 dollars but its not worth it just go to a regular commercial well known bank than this.

CIBM truly offers world-class banking with a hometown feel. You just can't get the personalized level of service at any of the big-box banks that you can with CIBM. I've been a customer for over 20 years, and have nothing to say but positive accolades for this team. Thank you for always being there to "just help."

Don’t even consider this bank for a mortgage transaction. This is the most dysfunctional company I have ever dealt with in my life. I wanted to go local. Big mistake!

Very frustrated, I've banked with them for years and never once have I been told there are restrictions against transferring money between accounts in my name. Looks like I'm moving everything to the U of I Credit Union.
