Denies African Americans service ( Jennifer) 5 years employed. Throw fit because she thought I was recording because she was denying two adult African males from buying something. For no reasonI walked in at 4am 11/23/24 before I have to start work and over heard employ yelling at customers, I stopped and listened and the cashier ( Jennifer of 5 years ) was telling two adult men she was not going to server them because she believe these two had came in before and had stole products but there two men stated to the cashier ( Jennifer ) they aren't from and is just passing by there was no way is was them because their ID's and license plate were out of state like they said I stepped in and said if you don't have photo of thieves it's best not too accuse someone(s) of being those persons. Jennifer kept pointing out they are two black young males that had came in before with friends and stole chips. These two men in the store were in their 30s and 40s not young men as she was stating it gives racial profiling and isn't a good look for company. If these two men weren't calmly with this employ things could of got way more out of hand and please investigate this she put myself and my roommate whom was giving me a ride to work over assuming two African Americans looked like the young ones that had stolen before.
Also to add she denied me buying two red bulls because I stepped in and asked if she had a photo of persons that had stolen before that security footage would have but in me doing so she started to yell at me and become livid when as an employ you should never put yourself or anyone at risk id theft is happening or robbery you always forfeit so no one is harmed. As a previous store manager of other gas stations I was appalled with her behavior, I had calmly asked when Tim her manager was going to be in she told me not the weeks and than refused to give me date that would be best for me to speak with him and she yelling at me to leave when she had zero reason to withhold this information. I also have video of the man for comparison to the footage the young men she believed them to be.

This relates to the Circle K on Staley Rd & Springfield. Don’t buy gas there! They rip you off at the gas pump. When the pump clicks off it continues to charge you, usually .30 to .50 more! They also have problems with their card readers at the pumps. I reported this to the clerks but all they say is they have technical difficulties and don’t do anything about it. The place has unfortunately gone down hill!

Very unfriendly towards tourists. Particularly certain foreign passport holders from a particular country. Very disappointing.

Never actually open during overnights. All the lights are on, but the stores closed while whoever is working hangs in their car all night. Sure wish I got paid to do nothing!

There was a female employee with colored hair who was tall enough to reach ALL the cigarettes on the shelf. It was kinda intimidating to be honest. 10/10 would not recommend if you’re a short king. Stay classy circle k.

the pink haired manager lady was very kind and warm hearted. she told me I smelled of pickles which is the BIGGEST compliment she could've given at the time. and when we locked eyes over my purchase of gas station burritos and funyons I just knew she meant every word. will definitely be coming back to be warmed the by the pink lady and her mystical aura.

Generally clean with quick service. They ran out of something that I needed that they usually stock but they have me a discount on another item.

Very horrible customer service, would like to speak to a manager asap. The female who helped me refused to tell me her name. I was going to buy a beer and she told me i was not born in the country so she could sell me. I showed her both my illinois driver's license and my Mexican passport and she still said that she couldnt sell to anyone who was immigrant. Illinois code says a foreign passport with photo is valid or a state issued driver's license. She refused to get a survivor. Need to speak to someone immediately
