County Market is a family-owned grocery store with a long history dating back to 1917. Started in Quincy, Illinois, by the Niemann family, it has grown over the years by working closely with staff to offer high-quality foods. The store is known for its delicious fried chicken, homemade Texas Sheet Cake, and scratch-made Meals to Go. It is conveniently located near campus, making it a popular choice for students and locals alike. The store offers a wide variety of products, including fresh produce, drinks like locally made kombucha, and even sushi, which customers find to be good. The store is large, with plenty of free parking and a second floor for studying or relaxing. Friendly staff are available to help, and there are many self-checkout lanes, although some customers find the app and coupon scanning process frustrating. The store sometimes experiences issues, such as liquor license problems, which can cause temporary inconvenience. Prices are generally slightly higher than nearby competitors like Target, but County Market provides a wide selection of items, from groceries to beverages, in a clean and organized environment. Overall, it’s a well-stocked, accessible store that caters to the needs of the community, offering fresh foods, local products, and convenient amenities.
If you would've asked me a month ago for this review, it would have been 3 stars. It was just another store. Something's changed for the better.

You know that this is one of the closest stores in that area except target. I like the produce there, fresh and the price is ok. The app is working poorly. Not on every self checkout you can scan the coupon. It’s annoying.
Even tho they have good choice of drinks for example. Sushi is good too.

some of the items are ridiculously overpriced, but their deli and bakery is great.
