Jane Addams Book Shop is a locally owned, independent bookstore that has been in business since 1984. It is a really amazing bookstore with every book you could want, offering a great selection of used books across three floors and fifteen separate rooms. The store is very well organized with labeled sections and most books are more than 50% off retail price. It features very well-stocked sections ranging from biographies to puzzle books, including really beautiful vintage books. They also have a great selection of greeting cards, journals, and coloring books. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is very helpful. It is a cool place in a good location, encouraging visitors to return often to see what’s new.
Well organized and they have some newer ones as well. Very cool building, can’t imagine how long it took to get all those books up to the second and third floor.

Wonderful used book shop. Shopped there while visiting relatives in the area. Came away with five books from a well stocked poetry section. Will definitely visit again next time I’m in town.

Phenomenal bookstore. Impeccably organized, amazing selection (3 floors!), and wonderful staff. Dream experience all around.
