I often browse this store and recently purchased a pair of Doc Martens sandals. The employees are generally courteous and chatty, greet you right away and try to go above and beyond to help you get what you might need. After a week, I found another pair of Doc sandals I like better on Zappos, so I took the pair I bought back to return them. As I walked into the store, one of the young ladies who was working greeted me; I explained I was there to return my shoes, and she asked if there was anything wrong with them. I said no, I just found something else I liked better. She opened the box, took out a shoe, and gave me an interrogating look, demanding, "Did you wear them?" I was totally taken aback and frankly, irritated at her sudden confrontational demeanor. So I responded, "Does it look like they have been worn?" They were literally in pristine condition. I had only tried them on in the store. The young woman kept turning the shoe over and took out the plastic molder from the insole, and said, "Well, there's a white spot right here. And don't talk to me like that!" I responded, "I am talking to you like this because you are being rude, and there is absolutely no wear on the outsole. That (literally non-existent) white spot could've been caused by anything, including salespeople who are constantly removing and putting back in these plastic things as customers try them on." The girl doubled down and said she needed to call her manager over to verify that the shoes were in returnable condition. So I had to wait; the manager came over, another young woman. She took one look at the shoe and told the employee, "There's absolutely nothing wrong with these. There's no dirt or anything on the sole." And she stayed for the rest of the transaction, going out of her way to be courteous and compliment me, perhaps having sensed or witnessed the other young lady's attitude. I have seen this girl working another time, by the way, and when it was not busy, she was walking around on chairs customers sit on to try on shoes which is so gross and unsanitary, and frankly, unprofessional.
I generally don't have a problem with this store and I really appreciate the many employees there who are courteous and engaging, but thanks to that one employees' confrontational and accusatory attitude, I will not be going back to the location. That is not the return experience I want to have or deserve. Seriously, I'm a grown 41 year-old woman with a full-time job who doesn't have any reason to wear a pair of $100 shoes and then try to get my money back and stiff the place. It's not a good look to find a reason to try and prove that a customer is lying so you can save face once you've shown your behind. It's good for young people to have work experience, but some of them really need a lot of training to understand that customers are not the enemy and they don't need to immediately cop bad attitudes when someone makes a return.

Jade is amazing. She is very graceful at everthing she does. I think her chill positive attitude is very admirable. I would buy used socks from her. She should be nominated for salesman of the year

Very cool store. Bought a couple pair of addidas all black superstars and a new pair of Dr. Martens there. And if they don't have it they'll order it and it's there within days. Plus a bunch of other very cool products. Highly recommend

Very helpful for me and my boyfriend's specific yet vague request for a certain type of shoe. I should have gotten the cashier's name but it was a girl and a guy and they were both super helpful

I bought a pair of Dr.Martens and found out they gave me the wrong pair! They're similar look and the same size but not the same width and material!! The narrow one gave me a hard time and hurt my foot a lot after a few hours. But I was abroad and when I came back, the return window already passed. Really hope they could hire some professional salespersons who really know about their products!! Waste of $150!!!!
