They said on the phone that it would be a 2-3 day wait, when I got there with my bike in hand, they said they were booked solid for 2 weeks

Extremely bad customer service. I went to get my punctured back wheel of my scooter fixed. I was told that I was being charged $30-75 dollars just for manual labour even after providing them with a new tubing which is unusually expensive. Instead of trying to negotiate a reasonable price for a task that look less than an hour, I was forced to pay 40 dollars after the guy started becoming physically and verbally aggressive. He not only threw a bike rim across the room with customers still present but he threatened to physically push me out of the store because he had no “patience”. I have heard a lot of good reviews from bike lab but this one specific individual ruined my experience and I will never return to bike lab again after this unusual experience.

As a student at UIUC, I have gotten help with my bike multiple times. The repair quality is great. Not to mention the excellent customer service. I have been offered free help as well. Love this!

Went in for a shifting cable change. I walked out of the store less than 10 minutes. Good location too! Recommended.

Went in for small fix ups for my bikes twice and the price was surprisingly low both times! The first time was for one missing bike pedal and I only paid like 5 dollars. The person made sure to find a cheaper single bike pedal that worked for my bike since a pair was about 40 dollars (?). He even pumped up my tires without me asking and didn't charge extra. The second time they fixed up my brake pads along with replacing the inner tube and they clearly knew their stuff. The price was around 25 dollars I believe.Definitely coming back if any other issues come up with my bike! Efficient at their job, just needs more employees because I believe there was around 3 people behind me waiting for the second tune up and there was only one employee at that time.

Durst offered $70 less for our trade in. Bikelab was very accommodating! Thank you!

Bikelab was a decent place to take my bike for a tune up. Seemed well-priced, and they had my bike ready after a day. When I first got my bike back, they had adjusted the front derailleur to swing too far in when changing gears, having it make contact with my rear bike tire. Brought my bike back in and they seem to have fixed that problem. The gears which they tuned are better than what I had before, but a gear or two will often have trouble switching. Additionally, my mineral oil disc brakes, which they tuned, have already gotten mushy again after a month. Not sure if it's my bike's fault or not, but service could have been better all in all.

Bad service. Rude employees that only care about charging you instead of helping you. This is coming from a college student who they took advantage of. I went in for a replacement tube and left with a broken axel. They hadn’t securely screwed my back wheel on correctly and as a result of that my axel snapped.I went in the same day and they said a new axel and labor would be upwards of 100$… They were not helpful at all. I would go somewhere else. *I don’t typically write reviews but this place was AWFUL.I forgot to mention that after my tire was replaced I bought new grips. The worker shared that he could put them on real quick and ended up charging me a 10$ labor fee without telling me before he did the work. Another case of getting taken advantage of. Make sure you retrain them on sharing the prices.

Ruchen made quick work of removing my Giant Hybrid rear tire tube and replacing it. It was awesome doing business with them. I think it took longer to get out my credit card than it did for him to do everything. Service was stellar. Price was very reasonable. I am a fan of these guys. You won't regret using them.

Went in for some help selecting a bike, knowing only a little about them. Staff seemed reluctant to engage with me at all, gave vague and unhelpful answers, and just generally seemed to be disinterested in helping me. I ended up going to a different shop where the staff were so much friendlier.
