I tried calling twice to see if I was able to schedule a tour and if this daycare was well suited for my daughter. Both times I was met with a very dismissive woman who told me twice that she would return my calls and never did. The second time she was actually rude. I’m glad we found another, more professional daycare.

I highly recommend Peter Pan daycare. Every staff here is friendly. Ms. Brown is the leader of this center. She is busy because she spends lots of time in caring about each kid?.

I worked at Peter Pan for 2 years. I love the teachers and director. Everyone is kind and wants to help the children learn all they can.

Would only do tours on the days the daycare was closed, which is literally the only daycare I’ve contacted that does this so it feels sketchy to me personally. I understand protocols to make sure kids don’t get sick but I haven’t been given a reason why they only do it on days they’re closed, and again the only daycare that does this. For me this truly defeats the purpose of me coming in for a tour. I would’ve considered this daycare, but now I’m not comfortable with my child going to a place that I can’t see how they run.I won’t be recommending this place to anyone I know.

My daughter started her first daycare experience at Peter Pan at the age of 2. She really enjoyed her days at the center with friendly staff and a great atmosphere. As a person with limited family in the area, daycare spaces with great people made my daughter feel at home and provided a great comfort for me. As a bonus, I enjoyed seeing the director hands on working with children day in and out and also found comfort that many of the teachers there also had kids at the center. I would recommend the center to anyone looking for kind, reliable childcare.

My son attended this Daycare from the time he was six months till the time he was two. When he transferred over to the bigger kids classroom is when we noticed that he had a pizza allergy. On Fridays we requested that he not be served pizza and that we would bring something from home for his lunch. I was told I was not able to bring anything and that they would provide some thing at the school. While attending school my mom would pick up at night time for me, As she went to pick up my son one night she was told by the classroom teacher that his food had dropped on the floor and the only thing they served him with salad and cheese… A slice of American cheese. Meaning he hadn’t ate all day. They told her she wasn’t allowed to tell me or she would get fired. She told anyways, i am truly grateful to this women. She lost her job, she was fired for speaking up about a child’s wellbeing. I called DCFS and filed a report. I would not recommend this facility to any child ever in my entire life.

This day care is really awesome! The teachers and the director are highly responsible and caring with years of experiences! My daughter is very happy to be there playing with all her friends. There are a lot of tree shades in the playground and a great variety of outdoor facilities for them to play! We are also amazed by her progress in English as she has learned new words every day. The teacher-to-student ratio is around 3 or 4, which is the best among all the local day cares that we have explored. So kids definitely have got full attention from their teacher.

This is a terrific daycare. The teachers there are very nice and have very low turnover rate. And they have the best teacher student ratio in town! My child has a very good time there.

Early Learning is terrific! Our son has been attending since he was 8 months old in the Butterfly classroom + now he's 3 — and still comes home to tell us all about what he's done at school and about all of his friends. Each of his teachers have been pivotal in his care + development. EL's playground and play-based learning was completely ideal for what we were hoping to find in a center.
Early Learning was also instantly bumped to the top of our list when we realized how flexible and considerate Jill Moore, the director, was with our non-traditional schedules. It is also one of the more affordable child centers in Champaign-Urbana — but, does not skimp on the essentials.

We have had our son at this child care/preschool for the last six months and have really grown to love the staff and teachers. It's a well established center in the community, and the facility and staff are warm and home like. The teachers are a mix of both younger and older, but they all have great experience and education in child care. Our son had a difficult transition going into day care for the first time, and the teachers worked with us to help make our son's experience better. When I pick him up he often doesn't want to stop playing! I often bring home really cute crafts. I never worry about his care, which is a very reassuring sign any working parent needs. Jill, the owner and head of the child center has years of experience and is very straightforward with the parents and their child care policies. I was very pleased by her knowledge and all the information she provided us when we were shopping for child care centers for our 1.5 year old. It's a small, older facility that is tucked away on Kirby Road. Don't be turned off by the fact that it's an older, small setting. It's really a hidden gem in this town! I also found that the pricing was much more affordable than the other commercial centers around town.

We love Early Learning! Both of our children have attended. This is one of the best preschools in town. Don't believe the hype at some other centers in town - Early Learning actually features an age-appropriate, play-based learning environment. The teachers are educated in early childhood development, extremely flexible with individual schedules/needs, and they are all very calm and caring towards the children. Teacher-student ratio is great. One of the best things about EL is that the kids spend so much time outdoors, in nearly all weather. The backyard playscape is shady and comfortable - a nice combination of deck, sand area, climbing, and naturalistic mounds and tunnels. It's a cheery place on the inside too - all the rooms have large windows and doors overlooking the play area. The website isn't super informative - so visiting in person is ideal. We knew it was the place for our daughter as soon as we walked into the classroom 5 years ago, and we haven't looked back. Thanks Jill for running such an excellent preschool for our community.
