“My brother is in town for university, and unfortunately, being 8 hours away from home, his battery on his 2017 Lexus RX350 gave out on him. From a distance, I did some research and initially found a Toyota dealership nearby, but due to past experiences, I’d rather avoid dealerships for repairs or services. I kept looking and quickly found Specialized Automotive online. After reading through their reviews and learning about their story, I knew right away this was the perfect place for my brother to take his car.
I’m a big believer in supporting smaller, family-owned businesses, especially ones that have been around for a while and built a solid reputation. I sent my brother their info and told him to book an appointment for a battery replacement. He took it in this morning, and they had him in and out with a new battery in just 30 minutes! He called me right after to tell me how great his experience was—friendly service, quick turnaround, and no hassle.

“Professional, quick, and courteous. Never like having a flat tire on the road, but if I do, I'd always like to have somebody like Tyler come and fix it! Came from Champaign to Gibson City to replace my tire. Was down just over an hour and a half total from the time I noticed it and reported it until it was fixed and I was rolling again. He even torqued the lugs! Can't ask for more than that. Excellent job,Tyler, and Gem City tire.”

“Came here in search of tires after I had a blowout on one of mine, and after Walmart gave me the runaround on trying to get the tires I was after. Tire Barn's folks figured out quickly which tires would work for my car, and got me in the next morning to get the changeout taken care of.
It took them more time than they'd planned (I'm told it took them more than two hours to get this blown-out tire off the rim!), but by golly, they kept at it, and they got it done. They took good care of everything in the process, and they didn't try to upcharge me on a whole bunch of services I didn't need. It was a little bit more expensive than, say, Walmart, but for peace of mind, and knowing that they'll take good care of you, I'd say the extra money was well worth it. Glad to have another mechanic I can trust in town!”
