“Lovingly restored early 1900s performing arts center. Roger Ebert is out front giving a thumbs up, and I'm here in this review giving the Virginia Theatre a thumbs up. Stunning detail inside, you can see how impressive this place must have been when it was built. Solid technical setup and plenty of modern touches that enhance the historic nature. Programming is great, seems like a nice mix of offerings, this place is a real gem of Champaign.”

“If you’re looking for a wedding venue that truly has it all, Carmon’s is it! From the moment we started planning, Michael and Britney were an absolute pleasure to work with. They were responsive, kind, and genuinely invested in making our wedding day everything we envisioned. On the wedding day, the entire staff was friendly, helpful, and incredibly accommodating, making the experience seamless for us and our guests. The food was outstanding and received rave reviews all night long. So many of our guests commented that it was some of the best wedding food they had ever had! One of the things we loved most about Carmon‘s was that the venue is beautiful on its own. The tables and chairs are elegant, so there was no need to spend extra money on rentals. The decor perfectly complimented our vision and brought everything together beautifully. Having the grooms and bridal suites right in the building was another huge plus. They were spacious, well appointed, and so much fun to spend time in while getting ready with our wedding party. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or a better team. Her knowledge of Carmon’s is unmatched and having someone who knows the venue inside and out was invaluable. On our wedding day, Britney went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. She handled countless details behind the scenes so we could simply enjoy every moment. “I left Champaign 17 years ago and this was my first visit since. Spent a night here, room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The front desk and breakfast staff were really friendly and helpful too. Easy drive to campus. Loved the geese hanging around the pond outside. Next to the mall.”
