“We took a road trip through Philadelphia into Virginia to take on the Clydesdale challenge at Now and Then Contemporary & Vintage Gifts Ice Cream Parlor. It's a 30 minute challenge to finish, and I finished in 15:50 breaking the previous record of 16:18, becoming the 7th finisher, if my sources are correct, and earning the free lunch and commemorative T-shirt.
The food was better than anticipated and the only two pieces of constructive criticism I could provide would be more juicy burgers (most people probably prefer the well done style but I'm a bit of a wild animal when it comes to my preferences) and the cheese sauce could use just a little bit of spice (the pristine white color suggests that it was extremely fresh). The fries were perfect texture and the ladies working that afternoon were nothing other than amazing telling me about the history of the antique shop/food challenge, and recommending other local eateries to try.
I think I'll come back next year and try their ice cream and find out if the authentic style Mexican place knows how to do chillesquilles (the greatest breakfast food in the world!).
