I don't even know where to start for this review. This was by far the absolute worst customer service I have personally experienced in my life. I went into this location (7/22/24) to potentially fix my phone since it was not holding a charge and see if the problem could be solved. When I arrived, I was not greeted at the door but addressed from across the room with a "what do you need?" in a less than enthusiastic tone for which I responded by saying that my phone was not accepting a charge. The female employee took a brief glance at the phone, weakly tried to clean the port and test the charge, then abruptly told me that I needed to file an insurance claim but gave a bare minimum explanation on how to do so. After I tried to file the claim and then ran into a roadblock, I returned to the store with my father to get an explanation. When we tried to enter the store, the doors were locked and we could see nobody on the store floor walking around. After double checking the hours for the store, my father attempts to call the store as we get a stern response by the employee as she comes go unlock the door. She then gives as a forceful and relentless attitude by telling us that "she was on a break until 4:30" and that "she's allowed to lock the door when she's on a break". It was 3:40 at the time. When my father asked if she was able to get any help from her, all we got were eyerolls and sighs as she clearly was annoyed that we were making her actually do her job instead of whatever she was actually doing. She gets incredulous about telling us to just fill out the claim like she told us and told us that my phone was not on the insurance plan. She then tells us to "come back at 4:20 when she's off her break". She then relocked the doors and disappeared into the backroom of the store. After returning at 4:20, she begrudgingly opened the door and again displayed incredulous behavior and when we mentioned that my phone was covered by the insurance, she didn't acknowledge that she lied to our faces and just reverted back to filing the claim while refusing to help us since "the insurance place was separate from the store itself" claiming that she couldn't help us. After relenting and going to pay off the remaining balance on the broken phone, she sat in silence except for a few mumbles and started getting the phone set up. We couldn't transfer the data from my old phone since the battery was too low and she wouldn't give us an alternative option for it. She transfered the Sim card from the old phone but didn't finish the job as I can't receive or send texts or calls. What an absolute joke!! Not to mention that she was dressed severly unprofessionally. Wearing a pink glitter headband, leggings with multiple holes in them, and blue fuzzy slippers. The fact that AT&T hired someone like this shows how much of a downward spiral this company has taken. Such an embarrassment. I have absolutely no plans to ever return to this business and recommend that nobody even consider resorting to making a stop here.

Went to this store after my phone ended up in a pool. When my daughter and I walked in the female employee was in the back of the store and judging by the tone of being completely bored with us and refusing to stop putting things up she reluctantly asked what we needed. She would not look at us and when she pulled up the account my wife was the only authorized user and she was less than enthusiastic to tell us how to resolve this since my wife was out of town. After she told us to call 611 she went to a table and continued to watch a program on her phone. Another man came in and stated his phone just quit working and she never got out of her seat and waved the man to her table. She looked at the phone for approximately 20 seconds and told him the screen went black and he could replace the screen or upgrade. The man looked at my daughter with desperation in his eyes and asked if she worked there, she stated no. We left and went to Springfield as she clearly was bothered by anyone being there. I will never go to this store again and will tell everyone about the terrible experience and the fact that they do not want people to come in we were clearly not welcome.

We went at about 1:00p, with multiple account issues, phone issues, etc... Every issue we had, the woman's response was "call 611". Every single issue, while she continues on her own personal phone, on speaker... so, what exactly is her job then? To continuously deny customers service and waste time? Thank you.
We then came to Springfield, and it's crazy, we were helped immediately.
Chatham was completely unprofessional, making us drive even further for REAL help, because how dare you do your job ma'am, what an insane concept.
I bet if we wanted to purchase something, we would also have to call 611 for that too... trash service.

Don’t go here. Gabriel told me that by adding a line we would lower our bill. In fact, the cost went up by over $50. When I went in to discuss the problem, the associate was disrespectful. I had to go to a different location and spend two hours to fix the problem. Staff at the Chatham location are incompetent, aren’t willing to help fix the problems they cause, and the customer service is incredibly poor.

Stopped in to AT&T today for a speaker issue on my phone. Long story short, I ended up with an upgrade AND a watch to match!! Ty was beyond amazing with his service and knowledge! He was able to lower my bill and increase my service all around! Highly recommend making the drive to Chatham for any of your cellular needs!!!

After avoiding other locations due to several not so great experiences, I decided to try out the Chatham, IL location instead. I was able to sit down as soon as I walked in and get everything and more that I came for. The Manager, Jake along with Sales Associates, Ty and Gabe, were all extremely pleasant and helpful. They worked as a team and made sure that all of my account issues were straightened out, questions answered, and that I was able to take advantage of all of the current discounts and deals. Changes, upgrades, new lines and a few new devices later, and I was good to go. Huge thank you to the Chatham AT&T team for their professionalism, patience, and knowledge. I highly recommend you go see them for all of your mobile needs!

Totally messed up my bill and claimed they were going to save me almost $50 a month. Nope.Bill went up by $160, and, for some unknown reason, they added a line without authorization. I talked to the manager and he claimed he couldn’t do anything because he wasn’t the original sales guy. ATT’s billing dept. said that as the manager, he could in fact access and fix it, he just chose not to and that the line was probably added to pad commission. Totally sketchy. Stay FAR away from this one.

AT&T Store in Chatham Illinois is a great place to get your answers on you questions! A Real Friendly and knowledgeable Staff there! They treat you like family! And Gabriel knows his stuff!
