We have been storing our rv here for 3 yrs. Our daughter used Iron Gate prior to that and suggested it for our RV. We have loved Iron Gate and recommended it to friends. We are extremely disappointed how the grounds are being kept now. Weeds all over around and behind our RV and the gravel needs to be grated to get rid of holes. One of the front gates has been damaged for about 3 months and unusable. What has happened that the upkeep has gone so down hill? We love where this place is but starting to rethink if we will continue storing here. Please clean up the outside storage area.

Excellent customer care, I needed help with my parking spot and they were out there the same day to take care of it. Very nice genuine people.

Decent place, outside storage is rough, nice staff though. If you're planning on putting a trailer or RV of any kind here, taking it out to use it and bringing it back, chances are, you won't get your original spot back. I don't know that organization on outdoor storage is their strong suit. I wish them luck though.

Outside parking is too narrow, or not enough room between aisles. No one available to talk about any problems with. Only game in town so no need to improve

5 stars all the way. Owners are very nice, units are big, air and heated, 2 doors front and back, nice well kept. They are in the process of building 3 maybe 4 whole new units. Very recommended, they fill up fast so maybe call ahead and get on list.

New place and still growing. Office not yet staffed but owner has been available by phone and you don't really need to speak to anyone since everything can be done online or with the kiosk in the front office building.

I am very pleased with the facilities and the service. My unit is clean. The facility is well cared for. The rates are very reasonable. It is very safe and secure. I love the convenience. Convenient accessibility. Easy to access and easy to pay.

Really Nice place. Very clean, safe, secure and the people there are super nice. I stored my entire household there for 1 yr and everything came out just like when I put it all in there. If you don't know how to store things in a storage unit in Illinois, doesn't matter how great the place is but this place has guidelines if you want them and I did follow their advice and worked out great for me. I DO know you never put cardboard boxes on a concrete floor in IL . They will draw moisture and even water into the room, especially in this wet weather we are having. I'd highly recommend this place. Pallets are good so you have air under your things. I did that and I used plastic totes and put the cardboard boxes in plastic bags and taped them up.Had no problems. If you don't know how to store stuff, ask & they'll help you

It was great! The temperature controlled unit I had was a 10x10. The unit was clean, very well insulated, and perfect size for all the stuff from my one bedroom apartment. The office isn’t usually open but if you call they answer right away and are super helpful. Everything was just as described and very secure, I would highly recommend.

My storage unit had standing water inside, and ruined many items. I had two different units rented for a couple of months. My couch, mattress, and items in many boxes were ruined. They said they told us in the beginning that they recommend that pallets be used. They did not. I am still waiting for a resolution. Then they charged my card for another month of storage when I was already moved out. I even received confirmation that they had recorded my departure date.

I want to start off by saying the units are nice and did their job. My only complaint about the facility itself is the massive drainage “ditch” through the exits that makes it nearly impossible to turn a truck and trailer out of the gate without driving all the way to the back of the property and going straight forward. That seems like a huge oversight.Besides that our experience was very bad. We starting renting these units in January to get ready for a move. A week after moving in, we had a massive snowstorm. The units were all snowed in the next day when I went to take stuff. Not a big deal, totally understand that they cannot control the weather. However, after 3 days and nothing was plowed, I started to get annoyed. I contacted the owner and he said their tractor was broken. By this time, every other business around, even ones that are closed for the winter, were plowed. It wasn’t until 5-6 days after that I was able to get in. Even then, my truck got stuck because it was so poorly done. The owner ended up giving us a month free so I called that one even.After the snow melted, things were fine. Until we were ready to move out. I contacted the management on a Friday and told them we would be moving out Saturday night. This was the 10th. We are supposed to let them know by the 11th for a refund. She said that she was already gone for the day so to call on Monday and remind her. I did so and they removed the units from our account. A week later we hadn’t received a refund so my wife called. The woman rudely informed her that she would not be getting a refund because we contacted them after the 11th, even though it was before then and she didn’t want to be bothered on a Friday afternoon. My wife had to contact the owner of the facility and he was confused as to why we weren’t getting one either. After many days of reminding him, we finally got a refund last week. Nearly a month after cancelling.The owner of this unit is very nice but we would not recommend using these units at all until they change management. It was too much of a headache on top of moving.
